Lunar Tea

Crema's Take
“Lunar Tea is Honolulu's most inventive fruit tea destination, where classics like Brown Sugar Milk Tea share the menu with genuinely creative combinations like Apple Rose Tea (yes, with real rose petals) and bright, refreshing yuzu and kumquat-forward fruit teas that keep locals coming back daily. The mo'ili'ili spot on South King Street has a relaxed, welcoming vibe with ample seating and parking, making it easy to linger over your addictively delicious drink whether you're grabbing quick or settling in for a bit.”

Try a Yuzu Lemonade or a Lemon Kumquat fruit tea. Get adventurous and slam an Apple Rose Tea. With real rose tea. This is the most original boba place for fruit teas I have found. Milk tea is super too. 10 of 10 will drink again Get a loyalty card. You WILL be back
This boba tea and smoothie shop is located in that mo'ili'ili complex off of south king street near kozo sushi. Place was not so busy on a Saturday afternoon, I recall them having tables and chairs before, now chairs are limited to the window side only. Wifi is free, and they play the latest pop songs in the background. Service was friendly and patient, we took a while to order. Teas and smoothies like every other boba place. Nothing unique about it. Although they have a bunch of toppings, I got the banana berries smoothie with whole milk, 25% sweetness, no toppings. They have oat as a milk substitute. Side note, this is a tea shop, not sure why google rating system is for a store. 🤔
We went here at about 2 pm on a Sunday. It was relatively quiet when we got there, but by the time we left, it was nearly full. I guess we have that effect (smile). My kids ordered the usual Brown Sugar, and I ordered the Hong Kong Milk Tea (with no sugar). We all ordered the Boba. The price was fair (about $7/each for a large), and the pearls we not too soft or too hard. The ambiance of the place is nice.
I love love love Lunar Tea. Their place is clean and their drinks is absolutely delicious in fact their drinks are addicting I must have one almost every day. If you're ever visiting in Honolulu do not forget to stop here look for the address on Google Maps you'd be a fool not to stop here, in my opinion they are much better than Tea Presso. They're little restaurant is so immaculate you can probably eat off the countertops, I love Lunar Tea and trust me you'll love it too do not leave forgetting to try the purple yogurt drink it's so delicious.
This is our new favorite spot for smoothies and teas. We saw a few people on the parking lot leaving with trays of drinks from this place so we decided to give it a try. It was totally worth it! The young woman behind the counter was patient and took time to answer all of my questions about which drinks are popular. I ended up ordering the mango rice yogurt, the kumquat and lemon fruit tea, and the avocado smoothie with azuki bean and black sugar boba. They were all delicious! The boba was perfectly cooked. I particularly loved that the azuki and boba were served warm in my cold smoothie. The mango rice yogurt drink reminded me something back in Bali. Unique and delicious! And the kumquat fruit tea was refreshing in the Hawaii heat. The establishment was very clean. As far as Covid goes, the Lunar Tea team members were wearing masks. Everything we look for in establishments these days. Overall, we highly recommend checking these guys out! Aloha Vietnamese across the way is a bonus and it’s why we ended up spotting Lunar Tea in the first place.
