Matador Coffee Roasting Co. in Flagstaff never fails to deliver that perfect blend of exceptional drinks and satisfying bites, and today’s order was no exception. I went for The Bees Knees—their signature lavender and honey latte—and it was pure magic in a cup. The espresso base shines through with smooth, balanced richness, while the subtle floral notes from lavender weave in beautifully with the natural sweetness of honey. It’s aromatic, comforting, and just indulgent enough without ever tipping into overly sweet territory—truly one of those drinks that makes you pause and savor every sip. If you’re looking for a cozy, elevated twist on a classic latte, this one stands out as a crowd favorite for good reason. Paired with the breakfast burrito, it was an unbeatable combo. The burrito arrives hearty and well-constructed: fluffy eggs, crispy potatoes, melty cheese, and those flavorful green chiles, with your choice of meat (or a veggie option like soyrizo that gets high praise). It’s wrapped tightly, grilled to perfection for that slight crisp exterior, and comes with salsa and sour cream on the side for customization. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and just the right kick—it’s the kind of breakfast that fuels you for a day exploring the pines or hitting the trails. The intimate space felt even more welcoming with the aroma of fresh brews and food mingling in the air, and the staff’s friendly efficiency made the whole experience seamless. Whether you’re settling in for a quiet morning or grabbing to-go, Matador continues to impress with thoughtful details and consistent quality. This pairing? Spot-on perfection. ☕🌯

Driving through Flagstaff we came upon Matador Coffee and decided to stop. The Barista was amazing. She was exceptionally helpful on suggesting different coffee options to drink, told us about the different flavors of beans they had for sale and what they tasted like, and make the entire experience there very pleasant. We ended up getting the Raspberry Truffle Coffees and they were a delicious treat. The Coffee flavor was subtle, with the raspberry flavoring adding a nice complement to the coffee. We ended up buying a bag of their Whiskey Coffee beans to try at home and would suggest to anyone to try this flavor. It has a sweet whiskey flavor mixed with a medium roast bean quality. If you are traveling through or staying in Flagstaff, this is the place to stop at. Added bonus, the bathrooms were spotless.
