Crema's Take

Tucked away in Harrisburg, this Venezuelan gem specializes in authentic arepas and cachapas that hit every note—tender beef, perfectly balanced sweet corn pancakes, and that ideal ratio of cheese and seasoning that keeps people coming back. The compact space strikes a lovely balance between cozy indoor dining and a welcoming outdoor area, creating that ideal spot for lingering conversations with friends or family over genuinely fresh, hot food. What really shines is the unpretentious warmth of the place: the staff genuinely cares about making you comfortable, the kitchen takes real pride in their work, and even first-timers to Venezuelan cuisine leave feeling like they've discovered something special.

Small but cute place to eat. The waitress didn’t have any smile at all but she did try to accommodate my request. I got pabellon al plato (beef) because I saw on the photos that someone got this dish with steak, but the waitress told me they use shredded beef not steak, I told her that kind of throwing me off, because that’s the reason I asked my husband to eat at this place. On their menu they didn’t have any descriptions what’s in Pabellon either I mean probably the venezolanos that coming to eat I’m sure they’ll know but for other people that wanted to explore foods will be much help if they can included that. But they did be able to accommodate what I want it just the steak was not good, it was well done, chewy and didn’t have good seasoning also they drizzled the steak with BBQ sauce, I don’t like BBQ sauce. The rice was also hard I’m not sure if that was old rice, not enough water when they cooked I don’t know why I can’t even have good decent rice. The beans didn’t have a flavor. The only thing I ate all from my plate was the tostones and the avocado (I attached picture how I done with my plate before leave my table) my husband got big hot dog and with that you definitely can’t ruin the food. So so so disappointed. I mean if they try eat that meat that they made I’m pretty sure they won’t like it how that came out either. Like don’t create a dish that you as a cook won’t eat it yourself either.

Wow, this place is amazing! The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. Very nice atmosphere inside and a nice area to sit outside. The entire restaurant is nice and clean. The service is also amazing. This is what I call a Hidden Gem. Don't miss out on an amazing experience! A+++

Stumbled onto this place while driving through town. This was our first experience with Venezuelan and it was wonderful. Perfect rice and beans with sweet plantain served beside meat of your choice with two delicious sauces. I had the tres leches cake for dessert. Hands down the best I've ever had. Absolutely would stop here again. Thank you!

The beef cachapa was so tender and delicious. The corn pancake was slightly sweet to really set off the saltiness of the cheese and beef. The vibe is chill and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

Amazing spot! Super lovely people serving absolutely delicious food!!! I read another comment about the cake and had to try it- make sure to add it to your meal because it’s sweet goodness. The arepas were fantastic- we especially loved the one with plantains.
