Lee's Coffee at Workplay

Badass environment? Check. Dope menu? Check. Cool as hell specials? Check. Lee's is really reasonably priced compared to other coffee shops and blows almost all of them out of the water. If you can think up a drink, they can make it. The espresso is so smooth and silky that bougie food reviewers would tell you it has "exquisite mouth feel". Come here if you want to feel welcome regardless of who you are---it feels like visiting your cool best friend's trendy loft that just happens to have amazing drinks But the real gem is Kyle. They are the gods' gift to coffee and cocktails. Every time I go in, I order from the menu and get a second drink they freestyle for me. Literally just tell them your favorite dessert, what flavors you enjoy, what vibe you feel... they will NAIL IT EVERY TIME. I love you Kyle (platonically) Please check Lee's out. You will regret not going, I promise

Lee’s is a fantastic addition to the downtown coffee scene! Their menu offers a variety of options, but the classics are good too. I like that you can customize a latte with tons of flavor and add on options. their secret menu is worth checking out too! This will be added to my regular list of places to go and get some work done because they have plenty of space and are open late which I really appreciate!

Great place to chill, hangout, get some work done or even play board games with some friends. I just came in to sit down for a while waiting for my flight. I got a tea. When I first came in I was greeted but the lady who took my order was short with me. Also they don’t have any mugs? Was handed a plastic cup. Would definitely appreciate drinking out of a cup, especially for a $4.40 prepackage tea bag.

Need a one-stop downtown Birmingham chill spot? Lee's Coffee delivers. It's got a great modern industrial feel and enough space to breathe. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Plenty of cozy space inside, or on the outdoor patio. More importantly, they offer the full trifecta: handcrafted coffee, a solid list of cocktails, and beer. Check the schedule—they often feature live music and other entertainment.

My friend loves coffee while some of the rest of us love to have a cocktail so Lee’s Coffee was the perfect spot for us while we were celebrating her birthday! Lee and all of the staff made sure we had the best time, especially Josh who became our personal photographer at one point. I can’t wait to check out their karaoke night sometime soon! If I lived closer, I’d be a daily customer!
