Crema's Take
“Tea Chat brings creative specialty tea drinks to Okemos with a genuine passion for quality—their taro milk tea and passion fruit regular tea are standout recommendations that keep regulars coming back. The small team works hard to deliver quick service and playful customer interactions, though consistency can be hit-or-miss depending on staffing and timing. If you appreciate thoughtfully crafted tea drinks and don't mind a casual, sometimes understaffed vibe, it's worth a visit.”

The boba is good but the guy who was working was a huge jerk. I forgot to add tip and went down, and he yelled at me to finish. Don’t go here if you hate being yelled at or disrespected
The tea is always great which is why it’s getting the two stars. My issue is with the guy who was working there today when I stopped by. He came out from the back and threw something down in the sink. He came up and asked what we would like. I ordered mine and my boyfriend tried to order his after me. He was very rudely told to wait then asked “you wanted the same thing” still very rudely. After ordering i went back to ask him if he heard the boba I wanted right because I thought I heard him say the wrong one. He said He heard something else and kinda brushed me off but made our drinks correct, But kinda threw our straws at us on the counter. The drinks were great but throuh out the whole he was Very rude and it felt as though he did not want us there. I will not be returning when he is working.
Tea was watered down and fairly flavorless. Boba was as well. There was only one person there and I'm sure she did her best but she was gone somewhere in the back for over 5 minutes too. Then she got hit by like 4 other customers so we didn't even get our orders for 20 minutes. I got the Jasmine tea and sister got the taro. Used to love this place. It was really good tea. So I gave it couple tries after it started being not good. This was the third. I will NOT be going back again. Idk if they changed ownership in the last few years but for about three years now it has been so bad that I wouldn't pay $1 for their tea. I would seek tea elsewhere if I was you. I know we will from now on.
The tea here is excellent! I believe there are only two or three employees and they do a great job and are very quick. I would recommend the taro milk tea and the passion fruit regular tea! It's worth the wait of just a few people are in line. The place is located close to a mall entrance so you can easily come in and leave.
Honest! These laddies can negate anything: Ice? Zippo! Sugar? Nyet! Lid? Who is she!? Cup? Pour it down the hatch and into my gaping esophagus! Customer service is bubbly and NEVER spills the T. I’m already 33.3% of the way to a free drink and I’ve only ordered once! This establishment defies all logic! Super cheap but never tacky. Wisconsin could never. The girl with the undulating ebony locks (pictured in figures 1-3) therves a thisther thomething thpicy. I will be bringing all the kith and the kin. But WHERE is size small? Does the owner have beef with skinny legends? I’m vegan, so I suppose I wouldn’t know. And really, what IS a taro, and why hasn’t its popularity in the sugary concoctions stirred, shaken, and served at boba cafés internationally yet allowed Papau New Guinea, whose population subsists primarily on this potentially profitably purple potato, to emerge rightfully as a major economic power in global tuber trade markets? In conclusion, keep on trucking, keep on questioning entrenched sociopolitical institutions, and most importantly … keep on tchatting! Good night and good ‘morrow to ye all.
