Crema's Take

Nestled in Colorado Springs with stunning mountain views, this volunteer-run coffeehouse offers a refreshingly unconventional self-serve experience where genuinely kind helpers guide you through ordering excellent coffee and affordable pastries. It's the kind of quiet, cozy space that works equally well for deep work, group meetings, or simply lingering with friends, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone—families, students, community groups—feel genuinely at home.

Today was my first time here and when I went in I was a little confused by the setting but very grateful for the kind volunteers who told me that it was a self served style coffeehouse instead of like a standard buy at counter go study place. But, today was just a day for me to go in and grab some hot chocolate to go and a snack but I definitely did enjoy the environment, and it seems like it would be a great place to have a Bible Study, Pray, fellowship, or even just get some work done with their free wifi also. Or if you just need to relax, it seemed there was a lounge area with TV and couch. I was told it is mainly a self-served volunteer led place, which was interesting and it seemed nice and "home" like welcoming atmosphere! I have already told a couple of my friends about this place becoming a good place to come to for small group Bible studies, prayer or just to get work done. Honestly, the only reason I came to here initially was because I have a friend who introduced me to the Upper Room Prayer Room when I visited Dallas, TX and I was looking for Christian coffee shops around town CO springs and this one came up and with that same name I thought I would check it out. Although I may or may not be back due to possibly moving out of CO springs soon but I will recommend this place to my friends who live in CO springs as it is kind of hidden away in a neighborhood if you do not know about it, and I hope to return to study or have a time in Prayer soon! :-) ! I'm not a big fan of coffee or tea but I do enjoy hot chocolate but I will mention the quality of the hot chocolate is just Swiss miss and can be made either here by yourself or at home by yourself! :-) ! But the staff are very kind and welcoming! Thanks for an enjoyable first experience! :-) !

The Upper Room Coffee House is wonderful! A wide variety of food and drink options, great cause, great view of the mountains, welcoming staff. Perfect spot to read, work, catch up with friends, etc. Can't wait to visit again!

The Upper Room Coffee House is great! It’s quiet, relaxing, and a really warm environment. I use one of their rooms for a teen group I run and it’s the perfect set up…with a well-stocked kitchen to boot. Be sure and check it out if you need the perfect place to get stuff done and/or someplace to host your meetings.

Awesome space to just chill with friends, a great view of the mountains, a coffee machine that makes coffee hands free, and the helpers are super friendly. My personal favorite is a man named Cream Puff. He said it’s his nickname but I loved it.

I went here for the first time with a friend and we both loved the place! It is quiet, cozy and welcome to everyone. The coffee and snacks are very affordable and the staff are helpful. This is a do-it-yourself coffee shop which is also a fun experience.
