TeKu Tavern + Cafe
552 Denny Way, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“TeKu is a wonderfully social gathering spot that blurs the line between cafe and tavern, with an impressive selection of craft beverages (beer, wine, and ciders alongside quality coffee) and a genuinely relaxed vibe perfect for lingering over board games or catching a trivia night with locals. The space feels unexpectedly spacious with cozy nooks to settle into, and there's a playful energy—especially if you're up for some pickleball across the street—that makes it as much about the experience as the drinks themselves. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose an hour or two without feeling rushed, whether you're there for a carefully crafted coffee or to explore their rotating selection of canned beverages.”

The tavern has a great vibe and attracts a lot of locals to game and trivia nights. They also rent pickleball gear, as there's a courts across the street. The main reason to go to Teku is the beer selection. It has dozens of beers on tap and hundreds in cans and bottles. The staff is friendly and the seating is plentiful. Great find!
Stopped in to kill some time and had a blast. The drinks we had were great and decently priced. The service was very good. I got the pretzel, do not recommend. I'd go back for the variety of drinks, seating vibe and games available.
During our trip to Seattle we decided to try out all of the local spots that were in walking distance from our hotel. We kept passing by this place, which was completely packed, so we decided to go when it wasn’t too crowded. This very modern, yet cozy cafe embodies all of the things I enjoy. Delicious coffee, an array of alcoholic beverages and a variety of different games to keep you entertained. Everyone was super friendly and were delighted to speak to us regarding the beers on tap. The beers we chose were crisp and refreshing with a silky, smooth taste. After the first sip, we instantly felt relaxed, even with the hustle and bustle of the patrons surrounding us. Before we left, we decided to grab a hot coffee to-go, and it did not disappoint.
Teku Tavern was a super relaxed spot to grab a beer on a Monday after running errands nearby. The space inside was larger than I expected and the walls of available cans to take home was impressive. Definitely a good place for groups to meet up.
Great place for coffee but mostly beer/wime/ciders. Huge selection to choose from but also plenty on tap. Some food items available but nothing to crazy. There's boardgames and cozy areas to sit as well. Pups are allowed to join you as well which is always a bonus!
