This is a local gem that attracts fans all the way from Marin county! Peaceful atomspher and outstanding service. Enjoy the life sweetness and friends company at Shemroon! Pet friendly! My only suggestion is to add kids favorite pastries such as cupcakes and donuts to daily menu.
A total breath of fresh air for downtown Orinda. The Shemroon bread and baklava are absolutely to die for. The space feels modern but relaxed, with a great vibe and strong WiFi, perfect for working, meeting up, or just hanging out. Really happy to finally have a place like this in town and excited to support local!!
Stopped into this new spot in Orinda and was really impressed. The space is warm and modern - lots of wood, plants, and soft lighting that makes it a nice place to actually sit and enjoy your coffee. Had a slice of their almond cake and it was excellent - moist, not too sweet, with a really good toasted almond crunch on top. Coffee was smooth and well made too. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation.
I visited the newly opened Shemroon Cafe this week to grab a coffee and work for a bit. Parking was easy to find on the street, and there’s also a parking garage in Theater Square. I ordered a Latte, and I have to say — it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The taste, roast, bitterness, and temperature were all perfect. I also tried a pastry, which was incredibly delicious with a subtle Persian touch from the chef. The internet was fast, and the ambiance was calm and relaxing. Soft French music played in the background, not loud like many other coffee shops — perfect for working or unwinding. The staff were very kind and checked in on me a couple of times. They even offered me a free sample of their Dirty Masala Chai, which was fantastic and will definitely be my order next time. Shemroon Cafe has definitely raised the bar for me — now it’s harder to rate other cafes! Bonus: the place is dog-friendly. Highly recommended! ☕🐾

Their Zaffran ice cream is absolutely top-notch, with salted pistachio toppings that take it to a whole new level. It’s a true game-changer. The almond cake—vegan, moist, and rich—is highly recommended, while the blueberry lemon pastry is beyond delicious, bursting with flavor and balance. If you’re craving something more traditional, the baghlava and adasi are freaking good and full of authentic taste. For drinks, you cannot miss the Shemroon shake—it might genuinely change your life. The barista clearly knows what they’re doing; the drinks are high-quality, beautifully prepared, and full of personality. The atmosphere is warm, bright, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell they care deeply about aesthetics—there are so many cute, creative design elements that reflect their passion and attention to detail. Finally, the team of five running the café are amazing—friendly, welcoming, and so dedicated. Their energy sets the tone for the whole place.
