Old Friends

This spot is a gem. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy. The baristas are super friendly and remember you if you frequent the spot. And the coffee, man, it’s top notch. Best cappuccino I’ve had in the inner SE area.

First time in, there was one person in line and I waited behind them while the two employees chatted with the customer…and chatted some more. I was happy to wait and while I was I noticed that the barista was eating something with their bare hands while also operating the espresso machine! Food safety violation🤢big one. After moving back to the neighborhood I was super excited to try a new coffee spot, what a disappointment. Please do better!

Solid cold brew and gives me those old college cafe vibes. Nice to get some coffee with a nice neighborhood vibe without any of the pretentious vibes most cafes have these days.

ACCESSIBILITY: Three steps from sidewalk to front door, another step up and over threshold, and another three to the coffee shop. So if you have crutches or OA in your knees, it might be a challenge, and if you have a wheelchair or walker it's a no-go. TASTE: Delicious affogato, made with soft serve and a not-too-bitter espresso. I did not try any pastries, but they had a variety. ATMOSPHERE: The space is clean and surprisingly cozy. Considering the hard surfaces, I expected it to be loud, but it was normal volume.

This cozy cafe has a great atmosphere and a charming exterior (perfect for photos 👯‍♀️)The coffee is flavorful with great acidity and aroma. The staff is friendly, the music is pleasant, and the Wi-Fi works well. The bathroom is clean, too. I’ll definitely be back, especially with a coupon!
