Crema's Take
“This beloved Minneapolis bakery strikes that rare balance between a quick caffeine-and-pastry stop and a cozy spot to linger with friends, all while turning out genuinely exceptional baked goods that people actually crave weeks later. Their tres leches cake and fresh donuts have earned serious devotion from regulars, and the genuinely warm staff seem to genuinely enjoy being there, which sets the whole experience apart. Whether you're grabbing coffee to-go or settling in with a pastry, it feels less like a transaction and more like visiting a place that actually cares about making your day a little sweeter.”

Gotta be the best bakery in Minneapolis! Everything we had was so good and fresh. Everyone working there was so nice and happy but in a place like this I can see why. So many choices you will have to make hard decisions lol. The cannoli, the lemon bar and brownie were all hits but really everything was great!
Please NEVER stop making your tres leches cake. Oh my gosh it was love at first bite. I am not a sweets person usually but I would be in heaven if I could eat that cake every week. Hands down the BEST tres leches cake I have ever had and now my favorite cake of all time.
I was not able to go to A Baker's Wife's Pastry Shop in person, but my professor bought our entire class a big box donuts from there. Let's just say going there in person is now on my bucket list. I took three of the donuts over the course of the day: double chocolate, sugar, and... cinnamon sugar? Unfortunately, I can't really speak on the atmosphere or service of this place, but I'm assuming it was all just as good as the donuts themselves. Holy cow, those donuts were crazy good! They were so soft, airy, and just the right kind of moist. I took so many donuts because I wanted to squirrel them away and eat one for every meal of my day today, but they stayed super soft throughout the whole day! Let me put you all onto something. Dunk their sugar donut into black coffee as you eat it. You won't regret it.
they have a wide variety of baked goods, i love to stop in for a sweet treat when waiting for my takeout at bill's across the street, ive had their cupcakes, bismarks, and donuts and theyre all amazing lol cant beat a sweet bread treat - my favorite was the rasberry sugared bismark + the maple frosted donut, absolutely phenomenal!
Sadly, this treasure continues to go down hill since it was bought by wuollets. Their croissant sandwiches and American tea cakes used to be our go-to. Now, you get half the egg & sausage and you’re lucky if the croissant is baked correctly. The American tea cakes are more often than not under proved. And of course, the prices continue to go up while the quality declines.
