David's Good Game Cafe

Crema's Take
“David's Good Game Cafe is a vibrant hub where serious card collectors and casual gamers find refuge alongside coffee lovers, with a owner who genuinely knows the rules to every game on the shelf and the patience to teach them. The counter serves up quality coffee and tea paired with Neil's donuts, but the real draw is the welcoming local community that keeps people coming back—whether they're hunting for hard-to-find Pokemon cards, jumping into Digimon tournaments, or discovering their next favorite board game with friends and family. It's the kind of place where forty-minute drives feel worthwhile and kids' endless questions are met with attentive enthusiasm.”

As a long time collector of Pokemon cards, I’ve had so much trouble recently indulging in my monthly hobby due to all the big box stores being totally cleaned out every time I go. All I want is to open some packs every few weeks and add to my binders, is that so much to ask?! So I finally gave in to my curiosity and visited Unison on a whim today. Best decision I’ve made all week! I was genuinely pleased by how this store conducts business. You can tell they care about collectors and players alike, and fairly price and distribute their items so everyone can enjoy the hobby. I will absolutely be visiting this establishment again!
I live forty minutes away and always feel like it’s worth it coming to Unison. Want to play a game? They’ve got it. Want to learn a game? David knows the rules to anything. Prices are super fair and the community is great.
An excellent place for kids and parents! MichaelSean is patient and attentive to my son's endless Pokemon questions. They have a great coffee bar.
If you're from Connecticut or visiting, you owe yourself a visit to this store. Management is awesome and hospitable. I went to play in the Locals scene for Digimon TCG. The players were all friendly and really cool. The prizing was great. In addition, I found Gundam TCG packs at MSRP...almost unheard of! The Gundam packs were limited to four per customer to give every player a chance to purchase them. This worked out for me as I am a visitor to this state. I was able to sample the Gundam TCG because of this store, where I vowed not to in my own country because of the prices. Glad I was able to visit here. I'll definitely be planning my future trips around the tournament scene here as it was just a 10/10 experience. The payment process was extremely smooth and easy. I don't see how you could go wrong with visiting this store. I will be back one day to play Dragon Ball Super Fusion World, as I unfortunately am unable to on this trip.
Great place to hang out with friends and play board games. Amazing teas and they have donuts from Neil's! Update: I keep coming back for the board games, but now they've got me playing card games too!
