Interim Coffee

This is a cool small vintage coffee shop. They have cute handmade mugs and they also sell vintage items and surf mags from the 80s and 90s. There is no indoor sitting, but, outside there is a small patio with 3 tables and some chairs. Their cortado is a bit overpriced, I paid $5, whereas I'd normally pay $4.25

Cute little coffee shop, ordered a flat white and it was yummy. Would return again. The place is also cute inside, very unique. Love supporting small businesses and mom and pop shops. Would highly recommend!

Had a latte in a handmade mug. Nice staff and decent coffee. I'm not the biggest fan of Ethiopian origin beans- the bright floral/berry flavors just aren't my jam generally - but it was well roasted and extracted that I still enjoyed the cup.

I love coffee. As a hobby, I try to make Coffee Maps when I travel. I've had 100s of coffees around California and Europe. Interim has the best cappucino I've ever gotten in California. The owner is crazy knowledgeable about his beans, from sourcing to roasting to extracting. 10/10 would come back to Carlsbad just for this coffee.

BEST COFFEE IN CARLSBAD BY FAR!! Cool little coffee shop with outdoor seating and the vibe is awesome! AND the most important part the coffee, so good so smooth. I got an iced vanilla latte, was delicious! Definitely recommend 🤙🏼
