The Donut Experiment

So first time here, I was there this morning at opening so no line or crowds...I was only one there. Ironically, parking was still an issue however I think that is just the way it is on island. Two things, 1) I get the ordering system, it is set up to move people when line is out the door, Excellent business process!!!....yet no fewer than 3 people obsessively informed me to fill out form while I was just sorting out the product (window shopping), the customer contact was a bit off considering I was the only customer in store....maybe too much coffee for the staff in anticipation of morning rush. No biggie 2) Donuts underwhelmed. Not bad, but I wouldnt wait in a line out the door for them if I knew. Happy that I didn't. I imagine kids love it and that's awesome. I've been to many places like this. Donuts are a thing. So I think this is a very well run business based on process. However, a constructive suggestion, think about a streamlined window service with coffee and a few basic ready to go donut choices. You have plenty of room inside to consider walk up window service. Other islands have donut shops that serve their top flavors at an expedited window to speed service and get their best product in customers hands ASAP.....and try to fix parking situation although it may be out of your control. The Donut Experiment is such a fun experience. There is something about getting warm, made-to-order donuts that just hits differently. Being able to stand there and actually watch them make the donuts right in front of you makes it even better. You know they’re fresh because they’re literally coming out hot and getting topped exactly how you want them. The customization options are awesome, but honestly, even the simplest combo tastes incredible when the donut is that warm and soft. The lattes were great as well! If you love a good sweet treat and appreciate seeing your food made fresh, this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful customer service and delicious doughnuts! I had a unique experience with Doughnut Experiment. I planned a gender reveal for a friend who was vacationing in the north end of Anna Maria Island. On a whim I reached out to see if I could do the gender reveal with doughnuts. I could not have been more pleased and excited to work with Charity (the owner) on this order. She was so responsive and helpful to make this surprise a success! Highly recommend for their doughnuts and their amazing customer service! Or if you want to plan a fun gender reveal!

Visited during peak season around 9:30am on a weekday. It was not crowded, rather had a steady flow of patrons coming in and going. They are very quick at welcoming you in and helping you with your order. The donuts tasted yummy and were to our specifications which made it all the more fun. I have kids and they enjoyed watching them make their donuts right there in front of them. It was $2 for a donut, so a little pricier than premade store bought one. The environment was simple and had a great island vibe with space for when it gets busier. Their little shop had cute items for purchase. We sat at their seating outside and it was an enjoyable experience. My kids want to go back.

Absolutely the best donuts I’ve ever had! The selection is outstanding, with an incredible variety of flavors and creative options. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. What could be a better way to start a vacation than with donuts like these?
