CAFFE:iN - Santa Clara

Crema's Take
“This cozy Santa Clara gem punches above its weight with surprisingly excellent popcorn chicken that rivals dedicated fried spots, paired with thoughtfully crafted boba and matcha lattes that draw a loyal crowd of students and locals alike. The warm, welcoming staff and intimate atmosphere make it feel less like a quick boba run and more like a genuine neighborhood hangout where you can linger with friends or grab a satisfying snack on the go. It's the kind of place where the owner clearly cares about quality—evident in both the crispy, flavorful execution of their unexpected food highlights and the genuine kindness regulars consistently praise.”

I recently visited CAFFE:iN – Santa Clara and had a really good experience. I ordered the popcorn chicken and a matcha latte, and both were great. The popcorn chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the matcha latte had a nice balanced taste without being too sweet. The cafe has a clean, cozy atmosphere and the staff were friendly and quick. It’s a comfortable spot to relax, grab a drink, or hang out for a bit. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back to try more items.
My nephew and I stopped by after visiting SCU yesterday. It was a perfect day to get boba so we came here Prices are similar to any boba place but the owner or workers here were super nice. We ordered gyoza, taro milk tea, and brown sugar milk tea. We didn't know the drinks already came with a boba and my nephew added boba to his drink thinking it didn't have it. The worker or maybe the owner, just super sized my nephew's drink. We were happy they did that. I like honesty and that was much appreciated. Will definitely come again since i work nearby.
1. curly fries were good 2. chicken popcorn extra spicy were not that good they were also a bit soggy. we have been to this place before, that they the popcorns were just perfect (medium spice) 3. Night time vibe was definitely better than evening 4. Dessert was okay
Small and cozy cafe is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for relaxing or catching up with a friend. I tried the Thai tea, and it was excellent—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also had their Boba Lava, which was a good and unique experience (forgot to take a pic). It’s something new and fun if you’re looking to try a twist on the usual boba drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
I wasn’t expecting the popcorn chicken to be so good. The Santa Clara students all come here to hang out, grab a boba, but damnnnnnn the popcorn chicken had the perfect amount of salt, flavor and crunch. I would come back just for that! Now I know why the kids love it here. Shout out to Stephanie who was working the back pumping out those drinks. Even though 25 of us showed up at one time, she handled it like a boss. Bonus: Opens late!
