Brentwood Social House

Crema's Take
“Brentwood Social House is a charming, sprawling Austin gathering spot that feels more like a community destination than a typical coffee shop, with multiple rooms, outdoor seating, a playscape, and even a small retail shop all on the grounds. They shine with their afternoon tea service and solid specialty drinks, though the real draw is the unhurried atmosphere perfect for families, work sessions, or celebrating with friends—just know that service consistency can be hit or miss. The quiet weekday vibe and abundance of pastries and light food make it ideal for lingering, though their high tea room does get lively.”

The environment is great for families with kids, we had a great time playing on the playscape. Unfortunately the staff was rude to us in two separate interactions, and not thoughtful/accommodating of families which is odd since it's set up to be family friendly. We had coffee and croissants, the croissants were delicious and the coffee was just ok. Willing to give it another try and hope that staff can practice customer service skills.
We did the afternoon tea service. It was very well done - service was fantastic, food and tea were great. The room where they do high tea is very loud so ambiance is not the best but was still a fun experience that I would recommend.
Good coffee and tart. They have a lot of pastries too. There are plenty of rooms and seats. On a weekday it's pretty quiet and not a lot of people, so it's perfect for working or reading.
Went to Brentwood Social House for a friend’s birthday and tried their afternoon tea experience ($50 per person). We had a big group, and they did a great job accommodating us. The setup was super cute—pretty tea cups and pots that really added to the vibe. I had Earl Grey, which came with milk and honey or syrup options. The tea itself was simple but nice, and it just felt good to sip tea and hang out with friends. The real star was the snack tower. Each person got two pieces of cucumber sandwich, goat cheese with fig jam sandwich, and chicken salad sandwich—all super tasty and well-balanced. Then there was a second tier with marmalade brownies, tea cookies, and mini cupcakes, which were all sweet and delicious. The top tier had raisin biscuits with whipped butter and jam—classic and comforting.Honestly, it was way more food than we expected. Everyone ended up taking leftovers home in boxes. The whole experience felt fun, cozy, and a little fancy in a casual way. Definitely a unique and enjoyable way to celebrate something special with friends. Would totally recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different.
Charming neighborhood coffee house with an extensive menu of drinks and eats. It has several tables inside and out, along with a large play ground and little shop. There is a small free parking lot wrapped around the building. They host many events, so I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying more of their menu.
