Nate's Baked Goods & Coffee
401 Orchard St, Austin, TX
Crema's Take
“Tucked into a quiet downtown corner, this beloved bakery-café wins hearts with house-baked pastries that live up to the hype—think scones that people rave about and biscuits worthy of a special trip. Beyond the stellar pastry case, they craft thoughtful specialty drinks like cold turmeric lattes with espresso shots and offer both traditional and adventurous coffee options alongside a solid menu of breakfast sandwiches and lunch fare, all backed by genuinely friendly staff who seem to actually care. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, lingering over a leisurely breakfast, or settling into the charming outdoor seating for a work meeting, this is the kind of place that inspires devoted repeat visits.”

I’ve come here with my husband just a handful of times for breakfast (their biscuits are amazing). I needed to order breakfast for my office of 10 people, and I thought Nate’s would be a nice change from what our office manager typically orders. Making the order could not have been easier! The owner was so prompt and helpful. My team thought everything was delicious. Even better, distributing the food was easy, as the shop individually packaged everything! Highly recommend for a casual breakfast not only in-person but also for pickup/to-go!
I just had the BEST SCONE OF MY LIFE. This cute little shop is tucked into a small street downtown. I tried the cold turmeric latte with an expresso shot and it was delish! They bake everything in-house and I will be back to try more goodies. The staff were so kind and cheerful! (Only negative: parking isn’t plentiful)
I discovered this place from getting a Too Good To Go deal. The inside was nice and quant and there were a lot of pastries in the display case that looked very tasty. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well. I got lots of pastries in my goodie bag. They gave me some rolls, a scone, and a couple of muffins. I've only tried the scone so far. It was really good! There is also a small parking lot in the back of the coffee shop, which is nice with it being downtown. I hope to visit again soon. I really want to try the coffee.
Simply the best coffee shop and bakery in town. They have a great menu selection of sandwiches too! The staff is friendly and really care about their customers. Just ask for the Wes Special!!
10/10 Experience we are always looking for coffee shops with breakfast and gf options. We each got a coffee, the gluten free cinnamon rolls and the ham and Swiss biscuit. All were incredible! We sat outside and the vibes were great. Highly recommend!
