Crema's Take
“Island Vibes Cafe in Exeter has cracked the code on açaí bowls that actually deserve the hype, with their Ying-Yang Bowl earning passionate devotion from regulars who've clearly searched far and wide for the real deal. The two-story space feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming for lingering, with friendly staff and solid WiFi making it an ideal spot to settle in with a bowl and your laptop. While smoothies here can be hit-or-miss, stick to what they do brilliantly—those meticulously crafted bowls with fresh fruit, real peanut butter, and granola that converts skeptics into enthusiasts.”

$8 for a “smoothie” that was 99% almond milk. Disappointing to say the least. Dragon bowl is by far the best. So avoid the green tropics smoothie and stick to the bowls.
Friendly service. WiFi available. The music 🎶 was playing at a reasonable level 🎚️ though one song had swearing 🤬. That was probably a surprise to the staff as well. The inside has two floors of 🪑 seating. The upstairs has 🛋️ couches and tables with plenty of 🪟 windows. Both floors were cold 🥶. They could use space heaters. They did not have pastries but plenty of 🥯 bagel options. I had an Asagio Cheese 🧀 with cream cheese. It went well with my coffee. My coffee was freshly ground in front of me. I was asked if I wanted room for cream, which they added. A pleasant and relaxing visit. If you are at the laundromat across the street, it is perfect to visit and hang out while waiting for your clothes to either wash or dry. It is a good cafe to visit if you are visiting Exeter.
Place is decorated appropriately and the workers were nice. Once the food came out for my friends and I, we realized how insufficient the amount of acai was. They scooped it cold which allowed for the toppings to sit close to the brim but once cooled down, our bowls were only full halfway with acai. The portion to price ratio is terrible in comparison to Playa Bowls or Secret Spot in Hampton NH. Will not be coming back if the portion sizes are not corrected to be more fair.
“I didn’t know açaí could be this good!!” On her quest for the perfect açaí bowl, my 13-year old daughter just tried a Ying-Yang Bowl at Island Vibes Cafe in Exeter. Her quest is now complete. Handmade fresh-to-order, the bowl included frozen pitaya (aka dragon fruit) on top of frozen açaí, topped with homemade granola, then fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries with a generous sprinkle of coconut on top. It was everything she’d ever dreamt of about an açaí bowl. Most impressively, the large bowl remained perfectly frozen from her first bite to the last.
Holy WOW!! This is wholehearted the best bowl I’ve ever had in my life. From the fresh sweet fruit& coconut pieces drizzled in honey down to the awesome granola, super fresh peanutbutter ( best peanut butter I’ve also ever had ) the Nutella& best of all the sweetest well balanced açaí I’ve also ever had. 10/10 don’t walk RUN& go to this place!! 🤍
