Nesbit's Poeyfarre Market
925 Poeyfarre St, New Orleans, LA
Crema's Take
“This neighborhood market near the Convention Center feels like a genuine New Orleans fixture, complete with quirky charm like the vintage 1984 World's Fair gondola out front that stops visitors in their tracks. Beyond the excellent grab-and-go sandwiches, fresh salads, and house-made pastries, Nesbit's excels as a well-organized local spot where you can actually find what you need—whether that's quality bread and cheese or a thoughtfully stocked pantry—making it perfect for hotel guests and neighbors alike.”

Walked here from my hotel. Had the necessary items. Bread, cheese, and some sliced turkey. I wish the yogurt selection was greater than it was, but it was a good little store.
A Neighborhood Gem for the Essentials Nesbit’s Poeyfarre Street Market is the kind of place every neighborhood needs. It’s a great little bodega-style shop with all the basics — and then some. Whether you forgot something, need a quick snack, or just want to stock up on essentials, they most likely have it. The selection is surprisingly solid for the size, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. It’s clean, well-organized, and super convenient if you’re staying nearby or living in the area. A reliable, no-fuss spot that always comes through when you need it. Definitely glad it’s there!
I stumbled upon Nesbit’s Poeyfarre Street Market while looking for a restaurant, and I’m so glad I did. This place is incredibly well organized and offers an impressive selection of food, snacks, and drinks (yes even booze!). The staff was not only friendly but super helpful, especially when I was being indecisive and needed a little guidance. It’s such a convenient spot and close to where I stay. I’ll definitely be back. This will be my new go-to!
Nesbit is close to the Convention Center and several hotels. There is an assortment of fresh salads, sandwiches, and wraps. They have cookies, chips, and an assortment of pantry items. There is also a huge selection of beer, wine, and liquor. I appreciate the charm the store has. The person working was very welcoming and friendly.
Walking by Nesbit’s Poeyfarre Street Market the thing that caught my eye was the original 1984 New Orleans Worlds Fair M.A.R.T. Gondola out front. I walked in and noticed how well stocked the place was and how friendly the staff were. The have a full selection of goodies, groceries, beverages and prepared foods. There is also a nice outdoor seating area.
