Sencha Tea Bar - Uptown
2601 Hennepin Ave S, Minneapolis, MN
Crema's Take
“Sencha Tea Bar in Uptown is a whimsical destination for tea lovers seeking creative flavor combinations, from their celebrated boba options to matcha drinks that inspire fierce loyalty among Twin Cities regulars. The space itself feels magical with plenty of seating and outlets for lingering over pastries and light snacks, though you'll want to bring a layer since the café runs decidedly cool. What really sets them apart is the genuine care in their beverage execution and customer service, making it equally suited for focused work sessions or leisurely friend dates—just come with realistic expectations about consistency and maybe a sweater.”

Really good menu with a variety of flavor options. The pastries and snacks are also good, and there are items like stickers, pins, merch, keychains, etc for sale. Plenty of seating and outlets. It’s a bit dim so not great in terms of natural lighting, but it’s a good atmosphere for studying.
its cute in here but man i am drinking the oolong milk tea and it's about the worst tasting drink i've ever had in any cafe ever. just tastes off. i don't think the milk has gone bad but maybe the milk has gone bad. maybe i got unlucky but order at your own risk!!!
The best boba tea place in all of the Twin Cities. They have the best options and the best flavors with great customer service and deals. Nothing like buy one get one free Tuesday that brings us in every Tuesday now! Thank you!
Wow. The atmosphere is so lovely here. Perfect place to bring a friend and chat or just curl up with a book and a drink. This place feels magical. Our server was very friendly and helpful! She also gave great recommendations like the winter melon to go with ginger in my drink, which was 100% the way to go. I also bought some loose-leaf tea to take home too. The interior is roomy with plenty of seating, but is peaceful and quiet. What a lovely place to be!
Bring a sweater! It's super cold inside and if you want to come in and do some remote work or a long chat, you might get chilly. Not sure why it's so cold inside. You have to plan ahead on coming here because of all the construction which is absolute madness. Lots of traffic and confusion. On the other hand, they have tons of really cool looking treats, all based on Alice in Wonderland cartoons. They're mostly all sweets even though they do have some bagels and other foods. The bubble teas are great and you can substitute water for tea or milk if you don't want any caffeine.
