Lucerne Bakery

Crema's Take

This beloved Miami institution has earned a fiercely loyal following over decades with their exceptional pastelitos de guayaba and traditional Cuban baked goods that keep customers coming back from hundreds of miles away. Opening at 5 AM, Lucerne Bakery is the kind of neighborhood gathering spot where the cafecito is perfectly pulled and a pan con croqueta arrives warm and pressed just right, with staff who treat regulars like family. Their breads, pastries, and cakes are made with obvious care and skill—the kind of place where quality and tradition matter more than trends.

The best pastelito de guayaba in the world! I was born and raised on Lucerne. We have tried everything in over four decades, none can come close to them! We now live over 700 miles away and any time my mom travels north to see us she doesn’t even have to ask, the only thing I want are pastelitos from Lucerne. Years ago she brought me this very special mug from there. Gracias Jorgito y Ricky por continuar el legado y permitir que mis hijos conocieran este pedazo de mi juventud tan especial! To anyone in Miami-Dade who reads and thinks whether it is worth the trip, get in your car and go. Forget every other bakery and make this your number one! Frank

Great little bakery in the neighborhood. Staff friendly and the baked goods were very traditional.

It was my first time ordering from this place and it was perfect! I’m so happy I found this amazing bakery. I definitely recommend their cakes because I can tell that they really do put so much love in these pastries. It’s delicious and really does not compare to the other cakes i have tried around my area. I live near Kendall but I wanted to try a new bakery to I found this one on instagram and I think it was the best decision of my life. Love this place!!

Best tasting breads and pastries and sweets I have come across in Florida. A must visit if you’re in the area. Opens early 5 am. Come check it out!

This place has been my favorite morning cafecito place since I could drink coffee. The quality and service are good. I recommend a pan con coqrueta pressed with a little bit of butter. Also, a cafecito is a must.
