Crema's Take

Empire Bagel Factory is a delightfully easy-to-miss gem tucked into a gas station where they're making some of the best bagels in Florida—the kind that have regulars coming back daily for NY-style bacon egg and cheeses that taste like home. The owner, Donna, knows her customers so well she's got their orders ready before they walk up, creating that rare combination of genuine hospitality and serious bagel craft that keeps people returning almost every day. Fair warning: the adjacent car wash might leave you a little dirty, but the bagels are absolutely worth it.

Too easy to pass by. The bagels here are the real deal! Go for the car wash. Stop for the bagels. Its ok to leave with a dirty car.

The bagels are superb. The lady who operates this location was a pleasure to do business with. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem.

I come to this place almost every day for my breakfast and it is the best NY bacon egg and cheese you can get in Florida. Absolutely great tasting bagels and Donna already has my order ready as soon as I get there with a smile. Highly recommend A++

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! I walked into the gas station food counter to place an order. As I walked up, the woman working looked at me deliberately into the back in a huff. I was perplexed. I did not know they were closing. Why would I think a food counter was closing during the morning hours? Very strange. As I walked up I saw a makeshift sign written in crayon saying they closed at 11. So I checked the time on my phone and it was 10:54am. Apparently the food counter, for some unknown reason, closes at 11am. Behind the counter on a rack was at least 20 fresh bagels. The woman who had stormed out, comes back and I ask are you still open to which she RUDELY replies we close at 11. So I walk away and she screams after me it's on our website. She then say what do you want I'll make it. Um, I want to never give you a penny of my money for being so abhorrent. Also, you could have simply said, I closed the grill, would you like a bagel. Instead she chose to direct me to a website for the time they close. Important note, this all transpired before they closed!!! Who checks the website of a gas station counter restaurant for their hours? More importantly, who closes a food counter at 11am? Good luck making a dime with that behavior. Shameful that you deliberately waste food that someone was willing to buy because you are too rude and obnoxious to stay open to sell the food to paying patrons!

So years ago they had a location in Naples but it closed and I was very very sad 😢 I had to go to Marco Island. Now I’m very happy this place is awesome best bagels in Florida I get a dozen regularly and freeze them and have them for breakfast. Sometimes I even eat the sandwich bagel. Thanks for the great brunch today Amy. Best bagels anyplace south of New York. Keep up the good work and open some on the east coast
