Crema's Take
“Apple Barrel Home + Pantré is a charming gift and home goods boutique that doubles as a beloved neighborhood café, drawing regulars back weekly for their genuinely exceptional chicken salad and tomato soup. The stunning storefront in Stuyvesant Plaza invites you in to linger over traditional coffee drinks and pastries while browsing curated gifts and decor that feel thoughtfully selected rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of place where you can leisurely settle in with friends or family, fueled by comfort food that locals rave about with real enthusiasm.”

Was shopping in Stuyvesant Plaza and randomly found, the greatest store in all of Albany. I was traveling to a girl's weekend on Lake George and wanted to get little gifts for all my friends, and this store had it all! The lady working was so helpful, and put together several different options for me. Once I selected the winner, she gift bagged each one separately for me, and it was complimentary! No store does that anymore! the level of detail, attention, and care was unmatched! I don't write reviews, but this level of detail and care has to be praised and highlighted!
Just the sweetest gift shop & home goodies store around! And their chicken salad is TO DIE FOR! Definetly a must if you're in the area!
Was drawn in by the stunning bow adorned to the front of the store, and it did not disappoint. This was the cutest store with the most unique selection of gifts, decor, everything! Everything was absolute eye-candy. Staff was very attentive, so I'm not sure what the other people are complaining about, honestly some people just complain about everything and were probably rude to the staff, lol. But, hands down BEST gift shop in the capital region! Can't wait to do my Christmas shopping there!
I was really looking forward to my first visit to this boutique on Saturday evening and arrived around 6:40 PM, only to find the doors already locked. Wanting to double-check, I looked up the store hours online, which clearly indicated they were open until 8:00 PM. At 6:45, I called the store, thinking the door might have been locked by mistake. A woman named Susan answered and informed me they close at 7:00. When I mentioned it was only 6:45, she seemed caught off guard, responded curtly, and offered no explanation or apology. Unfortunately, the experience left a negative impression, and I don’t plan on returning.
The chicken salad and tomato soup are absolutely delicious. They sell them pre packaged in the refrigerator for take home. I try to go once a week to get the chicken salad, hands down best i’ve ever had.
