Sorry in advance for the lack of photos. That often happens when I’m starving! We are from out of town and this looked like a fun hole in the wall. It was busy when we walked in and all the tables were full and then we were offered outside seating which we didn’t know they offered. They have three tables outside and it was nice in the sun. The menu has a nice selection of typical breakfast options. They also have burgers as I saw one walk by on its way to another table. Service was good even though we were outside. Chicken fried steak - 8/10 - this was one of the better ones that I have had. The hash brown potatoes were crispy and delicious and the sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly . Oatmeal - 6/10 - hard to have amazing oatmeal, it was fine Pancakes - 7.5/10 - these were light and airy, yummy, and huge (they were the size of the plate) This is a great place to frequent.
I’ve been coming to Village Coffee Shop for years, and it still feels like a true hometown gem. The food is classic and comforting—nothing fancy, just hearty, well-prepared diner favorites—and the prices are very reasonable. What makes it special is the staff remembering regulars and greeting everyone like family. There’s a cozy, familiar energy that makes you feel right at home every visit. For anyone looking for that genuine small-town diner experience, this place is hard to beat.
How could you possibly go wrong with this place. You get some coffee, you get a nice chicken fried steak and eggs and hash. You’re dipping the toast into the eggs and sausage gravy. 10/10 classic spot I always frequent round these parts
Village virgins no more! Fun little old school diner, but they do it right. Huge pancake, a little crisp on the edge and super soft and fluffy in the middle, soo good. Best hash browns I think I have ever had. Husband had the breakfast burrito that he said was excellent as well. They also have the really good ice, and gave me a to go refill of ice (and tea lol). Super friendly staff, very quick service. Will definitely go back next time we're in the Boulder area
This place is the best! Started coming as a hungover college student and I’ve been so pleased that it’s held up as I’ve gotten older too. It’s the perfect place to take myself or a friend to breakfast. The owners and staff are so friendly, welcoming and dang talented at keeping things rolling in this tiny space. I’m always so impressed at how quick it feels there to get food, and it’s delicious. Pro tip: get blueberries and chocolate chips in your kid-sized pancake!🥞 Pretty noisy and bustling on a weekend but I think that’s part of the charm. Weekday mornings are a bit slower and there are super lovely community vibes there.
