Crema's Take

This cozy Portland roastery stands out for the genuine personal touch—the owner is often at the counter, visibly invested in every cup and conversation. Their house-made syrups (the Madagascar vanilla bean latte is a standout) and thoughtfully curated specialty menu reveal a roaster that sweats the details, while the warm, jazz-tinged atmosphere makes it feel like a welcoming refuge rather than just a caffeine stop.

I had a lovely pleasure of meeting Andrew at autumn, coffee roasting, and it was such a pleasant experience. Not only did I have delicious coffee from the specialty menu, but was able to strike up an interesting conversation and learn so much from Andrew. It’s such a welcoming environment and unfortunately, I got there towards the end of the business day, but nevertheless vibes are immaculate. Although this coffee shop is not directly in my neck of the woods, I could definitely see myself coming back due to the amazing experience I had. Next time I hope to try one of Andrew’s mom’s fresh baked bread that smelled so good when I walked in there. Thank you so much, Andrew for being so welcoming and so so easy to chat with today! Really love the coffee by the way!

Smoothest latte I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend the house made syrups! Has the Madagascar vanilla bean. The owner was at the counter when I came in and clearly takes personal pride in the quality of everything. Didn’t realize he was here alone and ordered food (avocado toast with fried egg) which was also delicious. Warm, quiet, peaceful atmosphere conducive to reading or conversation. Enjoyed the local artwork and the wood accents at the counter. Everything was reasonably priced for a third wave coffee shop also. Will definitely be back sometime to draw

Autumn Coffee is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and every detail feels so thoughtfully done. The coffee is consistently amazing, but what truly makes this place special is Lyle. He is incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His energy and kindness make every visit a great experience. If you’re looking for excellent coffee and even better service, Autumn Coffee is a must-visit.

I had the chance to meet the owner and talk about what it’s really like to own a coffee shop, which made the experience even better. The coffee is immaculate, and if you’re a bougie coffee person like me, you’ll appreciate the lack of sugary options. The menu leans classic, with a few flavor choices like hazelnut and vanilla. How else can I describe this café? If you’ve spent time in the café scene in Korea and grew used to it, you’ll appreciate this place. It’s minimal but packs a punch. Very much a quality-over-quantity kind of café. Highly recommend.

A welcome harbor in a gray Portland day. Atmosphere was perfection—light jazz playing just loud enough to enjoy, very quiet otherwise. Service so sharp and friendly, you almost do a double take. The espresso simple exceeded all hopes: complex, interesting and a journey of taste across each sip. Seriously, this was a coffee experience on par with the more interesting wines I’ve enjoyed. 10/10 easy!
