Crema's Take

Push Pull's fermentation-forward approach to sourcing and roasting creates coffees with remarkable clarity and juiciness that punch well above the typical Portland specialty shop. The space itself is a quiet refuge with soaring windows and plenty of outlets, making it equally suited for a solo pour over meditation or settling in with friends, and the staff's genuine warmth means you'll actually want to linger. This is legitimately one of Southeast Portland's best—go for the pour overs and stay for the kind of coffee that reminds you why the specialty scene matters.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks, with a pour-over program. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings.

Had the Suzy which was nice, though I’m not sure how I feel about the Himalayan salt. Also had a decaf pour over which was delicious. It was wonderfully juicy and very enjoyable. I’d come back for the pour overs. Interior is cozy and crowded. I came here late morning/noon.

Great, tasty coffees focused on fermentation/processing. House drip great, pour overs fantastic, loved that you could taste the beans on the menu before buying.

Push X Pull just made it into my Top 10 Portland coffee shops — and easily Top 3 in SE PDX. I found this gem thanks to a recommendation from a barista at another spot, and I’m glad I followed the lead. Tucked away in Southeast Portland, Push X Pull nails that balance of great…

Delicious coffee and excellent service. This is a great place to chill and do work or study. A lot of light comes in from the ceiling tall windows and there are outlets throughout to charge your phone or laptop.
