Crema's Take

Rise 'N Shine is a charming Providence spot where you can actually settle in for hours without feeling rushed, complete with thoughtful historical details adorning the walls that make the space feel purposeful and lived-in. Their signature creative drinks shine brightest—the churro chai latte strikes that elusive balance of spiced warmth and sweetness, while their house-made bagels rival the real deal from New York. Between the quality pastries from local bakery Knead, plenty of street parking, and an atmosphere that welcomes both focused work sessions and casual meetups, this is the kind of neighborhood coffee bar that becomes a genuine refuge.

The other day dropped a friend off at OrthoRI down the street. I needed to attend two meetings. I was able to get a seat, quick meal and have my 3 hrs of work uninterrupted. One of the calls someone recognized the place by the background of where I was sitting. I would definitely recommend for a quick spot to grab, go, and connect. I just wish they had sandwich options.

Very very good. Street parking, very close to downtown. The atmosphere was very nice, plenty to look at, with some historical information and pictures on the wall. I learned that at one point the building was used for shoe repair. By the description I can only assume that the owners family member was cobbler himself in New York. There is a shoe shine bench, and many wooden cobbler molds on the walls, outside on the sign ECT. The service was very good, the cortados were fantastic, and the treats were very tasty. The seating was comfortable. There were tables, and also a counter area. I would certainly return again.

I got the churro chai latte with almond milk. This was a VERY well spiced and properly sweetened drink. It had the perfect balance of sweet but not too sweet. Also, the presentation was fantastic. It looked the part and my taste buds were not at all disappointed. 10/10 for me. Only slight downside is the inside is cozy/small. So don’t plan to meet up with several friends here expecting to inside seating. There is outdoor seating available though if weather is pleasant.

Cute small shop great place to pause and get some work done or just grab and go. Their pastries are from Knead and the spinach artichoke croissant was delicious 🤌 their chai is more spicy than I am accustomed to so the banana in the Banana bread chai helped balance it out. Their matcha is also great!

I love cafes, and this one is one of the most unique!!! The bagels are so close to NY bagels, and I LOVED them. The donuts were a little dry but such creative and fun flavors. Very tasty. BUT THE DRINKS🤩 I got the Matcha Guava Beet powder with soymilk. It was SO tasty!!!! It’s a very tiny space but they do a lot with it. I also love the fresh flowers 🌹. What a lovely touch!
