Crema's Take

Mudhouse has earned its stellar reputation as Richmond's premier espresso destination, with baristas who genuinely care about crafting each drink to perfection—reviewers rave about their velvety mochas and New Zealand-style flat whites that rival coffee anywhere in the country. The art district space strikes that rare balance of being both a serious coffee haven and a welcoming loungy spot where you'll actually want to linger on the patio, whether you're meeting a friend or just discovering your new favorite pour over.

This place was incredibly good. Cute loungy atmosphere with delicious coffee. They have a patio area. Baristas were very warm and welcoming , happy to talk through the menu and offer suggestions. We decided on the Nitrocano ! Sooo good. Its espresso shots sweetened with housemade brown sugar syrup with a side of nitro foamy magic. The texture is soo creamy and frothy but there is no cream. First time but def not my last

By far the best coffee I’ve tried in the USA was in Richmond. Mudhouse makes especially good coffee ❤️ it was a pit stop i wish i spent more time and try other options. Will definitely come back.

Cute little art district coffeehouse. Not close to me but glad I popped in today before an appointment next door! Baristas were nice and still made us both our drinks we wanted despite not having ice. Highly recommended!

Perfectly made mocha with incredible velvety texture and zero bitterness, without being *too* sweet. No notes! The baristas were lovely to everyone. Even the bathrooms were nice (a triumph in this city). Overall a wonderful experience!

Great friendly coffee shop! The avocado toast and muffin were delicious! I would post a great photo but there are only crumbs left. The flat white was as close to a New Zealand flat white that I have had.
