Crema's Take

Tucked away on a quiet Berkeley street, CoRo Coffee Room is an espresso-focused roastery that takes real care with their craft—their layered macchiatos arrive properly proportioned with milk and foam, and their signature creations like the five spice latte show genuine creativity beyond the usual menu. The space invites you to linger with excellent music, friendly staff, and their own roasted beans visible right there, plus housemade vanilla syrup and pastries that deserve the hype. Come early to snag a seat, because this hidden gem gets deservedly busy with regulars who keep coming back.

Crisp, flaky croissant and Coro Columbia espresso had a bright finish. The espresso machiato was layered in a glass with proper dollop of milk/foam (most places fail). Latin and groove playlist is excellent. Great walking neighborhood. Bonus to see the roastery where magic happens. Wisley, Racquel and Rain make for joyful and entertaining visits.

I accidentally discovered the coffee shop since it’s located in a random street where and no other walk-in businesses around it, they have their own coffee roaster business which you can admire thru the large glass, they service a variety of coffee (V60, espresso, americano…) nice background music, it have no ethnicity monopoly (very blended culturally) don’t be shy to say Hi since everyone inside is easygoing, a decent choice of pastry, children friendly and No alcohol served.

-delicious coffee -housemade vanilla syrup is fantastic, don't be surprised if you taste a tiny bit from it, it's just vanilla bean -great variety of roasted coffee to choose from for home-brewing -ambience is great; outdoor seating is nice and you get to smell a wood-burning stove somewhere in the vicinity and people watch. downsides -if you grab a filter coffee togo, their compostable cup leaks like crazy, so ask for it to be double cupped or bring your own cup -sometimes, an iced vanilla latte is consistent, other times not so much. if anything, its a random surprise to start the day. overall, I keep coming back to CoRo so its a top 3 coffee shop for me in the bay

We really like this café and come often. Tea and chai latte are always good, they serve drinks in cool cups. Staff is friendly. It gets busy, so come early if you want a seat. Worth it.
