Crema's Take

Tucked inside Taishi Hainan Chicken shop, Tea 9 is a cozy neighborhood gem where locals swing by for thoughtfully crafted boba teas and specialty drinks, with the Passion Fruit Tea earning particular praise for its balanced sweetness. The team is genuinely friendly and accommodating, happily adjusting sugar levels and customizing orders like steamed tofu requests, while the food arrives fresh and beautifully presented. Whether you're grabbing a quick cold brew or settling in by the window for a slow afternoon, this is the kind of spot that makes you a regular.

The boba is decent, I recommend the Passion fruit tea, it's the best out of all of them, it's not too sweet. I live down the street and come here all the time, plus they're really friendly and nice.

Food was fresh, good quality and nicely presented. Nice little local spot! Sat looking out the window. They were able to accommodate my request for steamed Va fried tofu and low sugar content in boba tea!!

Tea9 is located inside the Taishi Hainan Chicken shop. The boba is undercooked and not sweet. The drink is just sweet. I didn't taste anything distinct from the tea or the Hokkaido flavor. I was looking for the usual Hokkaido milk tea flavor, which is a little milk candy-like with creaminess but I didn't get it from this drink. The best part is the mural on the wall. Very cute place. Maybe I'll try their Hainan Chicken one day but their boba drinks could use some improvement.

Service was excellent and food was made quickly. I ordered the Thai tea and the original Hainan chicken plate. The Thai tea was refreshing, albeit a bit sweet so I know next time to request less sugar. The chicken plate was very filling - the chicken itself was tender and the sauces paired well with it. Decent street parking on a Wednesday at noon.
