It is not what we expected from the name.... it's a 1920s-themed restaurant with tin pressed ceilings, fantastic food and service. (Thanks Mason), The liquor used in the cocktails is wine-based, which was a little bit different, but still extremely tasty. The dishes were perfectly presented with fresh flavors and cooked to perfection. The ribeye steak cooked to medium rare was perfect with the creamy garlic mash The fish of the day was a triple tail on a bed of rice. There was absolutely no complaints on that. The creme brulee for dessert was absolutely delicious with a nice crisp top with a crack when you hit it and creamy goodness underneath. Our appetizer was the caprese salad with roasted beetroot, pumpkin, fresh rocket, ricotta...a great mix of deliciousness. We will be back with more company.
If I could give PB&J Bistro & Café more than five stars, I absolutely would. My husband and I spent our very first Valentine’s Day as a married couple here, and it was truly unforgettable. Even on one of the busiest nights of the year, they were able to accommodate us — and not just anywhere, but in the hidden bookcase room which completely elevated the entire evening. It was intimate, cozy, and absolutely perfect for a date night. The food was phenomenal. The salmon was cooked perfectly — flaky, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I ordered the chicken parmesan and requested a white sauce instead of the traditional red, and they graciously made it exactly how I asked. It was incredible. You can tell the kitchen genuinely cares about every plate that goes out. And the turtle cheesecake? So good — the perfect ending to the meal. Our server, Jess — who is also the owner — was amazing. Knowing that her husband Phillip is the head chef makes the whole experience even more special. This is a true local gem run by wonderful people who clearly pour their hearts into what they do. The service was outstanding, the ambiance was awesome, and we were honestly thrilled the entire time we were there. This wasn’t just dinner — it was a memory we’ll cherish forever. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending this place to all of our friends. A thousand percent five stars. ⭐️
Jess was our server and did amazing. She checked in on us made sure we were comfortable. We were celebrating our 9 year anniversary and made a reservation. They sat us in the hidden room and we loved the privacy along with the atmosphere. I highly recommend coming here as a date night! My husband had the Ribeye from their winter menu and I had the King’s Winter, it was perfect.
We stopped in after our drive from South Carolina and instantly loved the cozy, beautifully decorated atmosphere. The detailed ceiling, warm lighting, and unique seating make it such a charming place to relax. Jess was absolutely wonderful! She told us about PB&J’s story, local spots to explore, and even recommended Wondah across the street for cappuccinos, despite PB&J serving their own. Their motto, “We are better together,” truly shows in how they support other local businesses. The food was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. My salad was full of flavor and beautifully presented. If you’re in Niceville, PB&J Bistro & Café is a must-visit. Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind people.
Definitely give this place a try! Absolutely lovely atmosphere with a chill, quiet vibe. Locally sourced where possible. Cocktails, coffee, dessert, and seasonal menu with the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. Great service. My tea glass was never empty, and that is not an easy feat for a server. “Hidden” event room that seats up to eight. This can be reserved and, with enough warning, the chef will even work with you on a custom menu and wine pairings. We will definitely be visiting here again despite the drive.
