Crema's Take

Coffee Time nails the atmospheric third-place vibe with its speakeasy-inspired design and sprawling basement lounge that begs you to settle in for hours with a book or laptop. Their light roasts from the shared Sterling Coffee roastery are genuinely excellent, though the espresso drinks can run bitter—stick with a pour over if you're picky, and pair it with their house-blended mocha or pastries from Marcy bakery. This is the kind of place where the decor and quiet energy matter as much as the coffee itself, making it perfect for studying or just decompressing.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks, with a pour-over program. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu.

The croissant was pretty good, but the coffee was awful, I told Brista about my latte that it’s too bitter. She was looking at me like she doesn’t believe it! An 8 oz oatmilk latte should taste like macchiato. Also located near amazing coffee places like Sterling and Good…

Coffee Time is an amazing place to drink coffee in Portland. I highly recommend it. It shares a roastery with sterling coffee and has amazing vibes. Thier light roasts are epic! Glad I found this place. Art on walls is very cool.

If you want quality coffee and plenty of space to study this is it. It has a basement where there's plenty of cool sofas and chairs. The vibe is really cool. The panini sandwich and muffin were tasty as well. Highly recommend!

An awesome place to get coffee, snacks and relax. This quiet and quirky coffee shop would be my go to if I lived in the area. Decor is stunning. A great place to reflect, study, read or just be.

Speakeasy atmosphere! Love the vibe here. Make sure to check out the seating areas in the back... I wish I'd had time to sit and sip from a mug. Delicious house-blended mocha, bakery goods from Marcy's, breakfast sandwiches. Will definitely return when I have more time to sit…
