TALEA - Bryant Park
22 W 40th St, New York, NY
Crema's Take
“TALEA's intimate Bryant Park location strikes that rare balance of being a lively after-work destination without sacrificing the thoughtful, creative approach to their drinks and food pairings. The knowledgeable bartenders—particularly Bill, who's clearly a fixture in the scene—create a welcoming vibe that makes this compact spot perfect for unwinding with coworkers or friends, whether you're exploring their inventive flights or discovering their on-point craft selections like their Al Dente Italian Pils. It's the kind of place where you can feel the genuine care in every detail, from the creative beverage combinations to the deliberately paired bites.”

Very fun flight! Recommend tasting more than one beer here— unique flights that actually work and solid west coast IPAs with an east coast flare.
Fantastic brewery just steps from Bryant Park. The food was delicious and thoughtfully paired with the drinks. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed—perfect for unwinding without missing the city’s energy.
The bartenders were very welcoming and nice! The drinks were a nice treat after work, especially when you’re unwinding with your friends and coworkers. I would say after 6 PM, the vibes do pick up but so do the music so if you want a nice quiet place for the evening, this might not be the place. The pretzels were AMAZING, the snack ones and the soft pretzel.
ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. It’s such a vibe and the beers are on point! We got the Al Dente Italian Pils & got a pickle back shot too! Bill is a great bartender who’s been in the scene for a minute! Definitely check this place out and get you some great beer. You can buy beer to go too!
Checked out this location with coworkers for a drink after work since it’s close to the office. This location is on the smaller side compared to the other locations in the city. We were able to grab a table at 5pm for 6 people. The staffs could be a little bit more friendly and smile more. One of the older female staff rudely said to us that the path had to be clear of any chairs and all we were trying to do was exactly that; she could’ve asked nicely instead. Some of us ordered the beer flights and some the individual glasses (they do have cocktails if beer isn’t your thing). We also shared the Bavarian pretzel and added the beer cheese (which is not worth the additional $4 btw).
