Espresso! Coffee Bar

1201 N Market St, Wilmington, DE

Crema's Take

This downtown Wilmington spot strikes a genuine balance between a quick caffeine stop and a place worth lingering, with staff who clearly take pride in both traditional espresso drinks and creative house specialties like their perfectly balanced banana chocolate espresso milkshake. Beyond solid coffee, they've earned real loyalty for unexpected gems like their exceptional house-made chicken empanadas and what reviewers call the best chai they've ever had, making it feel less like a chain coffee bar and more like discovering a local favorite that nails the details.

Lady’s there are always really nice and the coffee is good but I don’t know if it’s a chain thing or just this store (I didn’t see it in the other one near by) but the chicken empanadas are sooo good and the dip that goes with it is amazing. Nice and crispy and warm with a flavorful chicken and potato filling, good on a really cold day. I wish they had more types, I would definitely try them!

A really convenient coffee bar, located on East 12th & N. Market in downtown Wilmington. Friendly service, and great coffee. The cold brew was nice & bold, with a fresh flavor. The decor inside is very vibrant, just a chill spot overall.

Flat white was average. Coffee definitely better than Starbucks but not top tier. I would drink here again. Protein waffles are good (Kodiak light and fluffy frozen waffles) and the berries on top were a nice touch. Friendly staff.

Had a banana chocolate espresso milkshake, after a recommendation from the hotel guy. I thought it might be too many flavors, but it is perfectly balanced. And really delicious. The breakfast croissant is good too.

First off I can say, amazing atmosphere as you walk in. Very friendly staff! I decided to order the iced chai tea latte and a cheese arepa. The drink was outstanding! Best chai I’ve ever had. They were out of arepas but offered one of their sandwiches, turkey on a croissant, best thing ever! I got one of their crumb cakes as well and just as good! Will be returning soon, outstanding place.
