Angkor Delight Sandwich & Food
1207 Gardenia Ave, Long Beach, CA
Crema's Take
“This Cambodian spot in Long Beach punches way above its weight with standout items like impossibly crispy fried bananas (arrive early or miss out) and banh mi sandwiches where the pickled vegetables are the real star—bright, tangy, and perfectly balanced against warm, fresh bread. Beyond the stellar sandwiches, they offer a full lineup of traditional Khmer dishes, matcha, bobas, and bakery items, all delivered by genuinely warm staff who've been known to sneak in complimentary spring rolls with orders. It's the kind of unpretentious neighborhood gem where $6 gets you something genuinely exceptional and the whole family will find something to love.”

veggies hitting, porks lacking, desserts confusing? definitely a win for pickled veg lovers, they've got a lovely sharp-tangy taste paired with thinner, fresh-warm bread, but the bbq pork was rather salty.. also ask for a half-cut cause i just got a whole log 😭 the taro nnom ko trav dessert had a nice density but i fear the coconut cream on top was too nauseating for me: decent prices make it a great try but not my regular-spot.
This place has the best fried banana I've ever had and their food is delicious. Come before noon so you have chance of snagging their batch of fried bananas before they sell out. I also love their expanding selection of ready to go food and the women running it are all very nice.
My family and I enjoy the food here. They have bakery , sweet desserts , bobas , bahn mi sandwiches and more khmer food. Staff are all friendly people so if you’re in the area definitely stop by and check them out.
The BBQ pork Cambodian sandwich here is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. For $6 you're not going to find anything better, anywhere.
I ordered 2 shaved ice, large curry and it was close to 5pm. The tall gentlemen that was working today was really friendly and cool. When I got my order he gave me 2 free pack of spring rolls which had 3 peices each. That's so awesome!!! Thank you bong or baoun! 🥰 The curry is still the best and love the spice of heat. I never had their spring rolls , but it was different in a good way. I think they had toast maybe some rice or something that made the meat taste nutty. The fish sauce is not too salty which is more on the sweeter side and I like that. All the on and ming are nice too. Just everyone there are welcoming. Been here since it open. The shaved ice is worth it!
