Crema's Take

This cozy Filipino bakery in Virginia Beach fills the air with the aroma of fresh-baked bread and pastries, with the bonus of watching bakers at work through the window—a genuine glimpse into their craft. Beyond the stellar lineup of savory breads like pepperoni and ham and cheese, their ube latte has become a beloved signature that keeps regulars coming back, complemented by equally impressive espresso drinks and Filipino pastries like hopia and melon bread. It's an unpretentious, family-friendly spot where the friendly staff and welcoming community atmosphere make you feel right at home, even if you're grabbing your order to go.

Tried multiple things and there was nothing that I didn't like. The pizza bread, ham and cheese bread, the pork bun, the hopia, the iced ube latte, the melon bread. All delicious my top was the latte that had a light sweetness and the pork bun. Also the staff was friendly and helpful with explaining the menu.

Delicious pepperoni bread and ube bread. Loved all items from the bakery. Helpful staff. Iced Ube latte was tasty and sweet. Mostly takeout, but one table for eat in plus a microwave to eat up items.

Very cute bakery in the VB area. The Ube latte, espresso, cheesecake and bread were very tasty. Not too sweet but very satisfying. The staff is very friendly and polite as well as the regular clientele. Great spot for coffee and a good quality snack.

Great Filipino bakery! You can smell the fresh baking as you walk up, and you can even see them baking through the window, which is such a nice touch. They offer a fantastic variety of both sweet and savory items, plus a great selection of drinks. If ube is your thing, this is the place to be—they have everything from ube drinks and cheesecakes to fresh ube bread. The staff is super friendly and gives great recommendations if you aren’t sure what to try. We got the ube ensaymada and the empanadas, and both were delicious. Prices are very very reasonable, ranging from $3 to $10. Highly recommend!"

Norfolk has an impressive range of Filipino restaurants and cafés, and Angie’s Bakery still manages to stand out. On a Sunday morning, the place was alive with a steady flow of the local Filipino community— a reminder that the best food always draws people home. The ube is the star here, and rightfully so. From coffees to pastries, every purple-hued bite was delicious. We grabbed a dozen ube rolls fresh to-go, and they didn’t even make it past the day. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere carried that perfect mix of neighborhood charm and cultural pride. For me, this was more than just a bakery stop— it was a taste of heritage. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat 🇵🇭 Five stars, easily.
