Hands down, they have the best coffee in San Diego. As for the food, it is overpriced and very small portions. We had the egg veggie bun, it was microwave heated- cost $13. A very small portion of a side yogurt cost $13. If you’re looking too munch something with your coffee, you have two coffee shops with fresh food right next to it on the same street.

My husband and I were honey mooning and staying in Solana Beach. We went to Lofty the first day we arrived and their Mocha dark chocolate late was absolutely FIRE! I recommend for delicious local coffee compared to your neighborhood Starbucks. I think they ten fold beat Starbuck’s coffee. Wish we had a Lofty on the east coast! On Valentine’s Day they handed out these cute homemade heart shaped cookies and they were so good! Highly recommend, great staff, delicious food, and bomb coffee!! You won’t be disappointed!

This is genuinely the hugest latte I’ve ever gotten. It was 20 oz (the only size) for $6. They have a cute outdoor space with shade. It was a very serviceable latte but also not particularly memorable. Some of their other drinks are on the pricier side, but this is an otherwise fine spot to pick up a coffee before hitting the beach!

First breakfast in 2026, loved it! For me cereal for my wife bread eggs and avocado, that’s how the new year can start. Beautiful place, yummy food, great atmosphere and nice people.

I enjoyed a coffee date with my beautiful wife at this gem of a coffee shop, located in Solana Beach. Though Lofty Coffee only offers outdoor seating, this open air seating allows you to enjoy the beach weather. Lofty provides plenty of covered seating, so that you are not in direct sunlight and the tables and chairs are dry (no dew wetness). The lighting is warm like the staff. Lofty was busy, but there were plenty of staff to process my order. This dog friendly coffee shop provides free doggy treats. People seemed to be enjoying themselves with pleasant conversations. When you find yourself in Solana Beach, stop by Lofty and enjoy a moment. I look forward to my next
