Crema's Take
“Nestled in Buffalo's historic Martin House, Statler Cafe strikes that rare balance between approachable neighborhood spot and thoughtful gathering place, where the staff's genuine warmth and professional care set the tone. They partner with local pastry maker Jam! Co and keep things reasonably priced while remaining flexible and accommodating—whether you're settling in for a slow afternoon or hosting a private event in their elegant space. It's the kind of place where attentive service and a welcoming demeanor turn a casual coffee visit into something that feels personal.”

We are "neighbors", but this was our first visit. It was very nice. The staff was professional and friendly. Pricing is quite reasonable. Our pastry choice was actually supplied from close by, Jam! coffeshop (a favorite hang out). It was outstanding !
Cafe associate was welcoming and attentive, they were helpful with the food and beverage selections, and were very accommodating in offering a free food item on top of a refund, in lieu of the food we purchased that had actually past its best by date. We visited the cafe about an hour before our guided tour, and the associate was very helpful in suggesting we visit the new, "Women of the Martin House! exhibition before our tour. Thank you for the excellent customer service, in making our visit so much more enjoyable!
We used the Statler Cafe at the Martin House for a private event in the evening. The staff was incredibly accommodating and everything went so smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making it a seamless event.
Overpriced and not a lot of options. All cold and prepackaged foods and “artisan” branded beverages. The employee working when we visited couldn’t even offer up a greeting or a smile. Was very cold to patrons and seemed like he’d rather be elsewhere than working. He was very cold and uninviting.
