La Ventanita

Crema's Take
“This legendary walk-up window at Versailles is a Miami institution where you'll find some of the city's most celebrated Cuban coffee, especially their iconic cortaditos and coladas that keep locals coming back day after day. The casual, no-fuss counter experience pairs perfectly with their exceptional pastries like pastel guayaba and spinach & feta empanadas, making it an ideal spot to grab something genuinely delicious without slowing down. It's quintessential Calle 8—the kind of place where you can taste generations of Miami coffee culture in a single sip.”

La Ventanita is the very popular and famous walk-up window at the Versailles restaurant for quick coffee, such as the delicious and well-known "cortaditos" and "cafecitos" in Miami as well as wonderful Cuban pastries. It is actually a cultural institution in Miami since 1971, where the Cuban community gather to talk about current events, traditions, and even play dominoes. There is a very large and nicely constructed outdoor seating area to do that. Prices are reasonable here. Service is friendly and fast. I ordered a "Cafe con leche" from them and soon had good energy! We plan to go back again soon.
I tried spinach & feta empanada, guava - cheese pastry and Cuban coffee. I liked all 3. Especially the coffee was really good.
Such a Miami and Calle 8 staple, I had to come by. The ventanita is a perfect place to come tyo if you want a casual and fast eat with some bar seating available. In terms of their offerings, they have an amazing cortado- oh my still reminiscing about it. Their croquetas are also insane, they melt right as you take your first bite. Omg I should have gotten two. Their pastelito de guayaba y queso is also soooo good and perfect to pair with any cuban coffee. They also have such a large line of merch including totebags, shirts, coffee cups, candies, coffee, and more!
Versailles serves the best coffee I have ever had. We went back two days in a row and took our time enjoying a cortadito and pastel guayaba at the counter. I recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice as well. There is a steady stream of customers and a vibrant energy to the whole experience. The staff is attentive and efficient. Lauren took great care of us both days. She was the best! It is worth it to stay for a bit and enjoy the ambience rather than taking coffee to go. If you are in Miami, you don't want to miss this spot!
One of my favorite places to get Cuban coffee. I always grab a colada (all for me) and a pastel guayaba. This is located outside the restaurant so it is easy to go to the window and order.
