Crema's Take
“Café Sarafornia is a beloved local anchor in Calistoga where regulars have been returning for decades, drawn to genuinely generous breakfast and brunch plates—think perfectly executed omelets, standout hash browns, and eggs Benedict loaded with quality ingredients. The warm, unhurried atmosphere naturally brings together visitors and longtime locals at the counter and tables, making it feel like the kind of place where you're meant to linger over coffee and conversation.”

Repeat customers over many years. Given Calistoga's relatively limited options, Sarafornia is the better choice. Typical breakfast/brunch venue. Over the past 20 years or so, food options have improved some, service has remained tolerable and prices have doubled. Note the mandatory optional and taxable tip - an oxymoron once reserved to the left-leaning bay area which has now apparently found its way as far s Calistoga.
I hate leaving bad reviews because this isn’t a representation of how it always is.I always have loved their food and wanted to try this specific plate. This is my first time trying it,definitely not what I expected.
Cute cafe with breakfast fare. Friendly staff. The special was peaches & almonds on pancakes. It was syrupy, too sweet for me, I think the pancakes are better on their own. Nevertheless, we took home a slice of that gorgeous, tall Carrot Cake, and it took two days to finish.
Perfect breakfast and brunch spot in Calistoga ! I really loved their foods. The hashbrown was one of the best. Omelet and egg Benedict were so flavorful and they were very generous with ingredients. The foods came out super fast and the service was great. The best part was how reasonable the price was. It was so refreshing to see the middle class prices amid crazy inflation madness. I am definitely coming back when I visit Calistoga!
Extremely pleasant workers taking care of me at the counter. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Visitors like myself mingled easily with local regulars. And the food is so tasty. I had poached eggs with chorizo. It came with toast, avocado, Mexican sauces and various veges. The coffee was flavorful and refills were free. Cake and pie and cookies freshly made by a local nun looked up and me throughout my meal but I didn’t surrender. I was too full.
