7th Street Hotspot Café and Market

I wanted oxtails, I went here after work on a Friday night, after seeing the owner on TikTok. I get there and they're out. They offered for me to pay for the dinner and I could pick it up on Saturday. The owner offered me free banana pudding for the trouble, I asked for sweet potato pie instead as I NEVER liked banana pudding. I got the impression the owner was almost offended. I go to pick up my $26 plate on Saturday and my plate wasn't ready. I had to wait for the owner to finish a TikTok video, and then he fixed my platter. Before I walked out he didn't bother to thank me. It usually wouldn't bother me not being ask to be in a TikTok video, but I paid for food I didn't get the night before and didn't even get a thank you walking out the door. The owner said he is from New Jersey, and I'm coming from Philly, I have NEVER paid for a soul food plate walking out without the food. The owner seems kinda pompous, and disorganized. I don't understand why one would advertise soul food online, then when one gets there they're all sold out. The food was ok, the mac and cheese was old, the rice was sticky, the yams weren't great (I didn't finish them) and my plate had no bread as promised. I would not reorder from here.

Food is always good and fresh. But several times I've ordered cheese fries, just to get home and see there was no cheese added. Please pay attention to what is ordered so simple mistakes like this stop happening.

Every time I go in everyone is always willing to help. Luis goes over the top if you know they usually have something but it may not be in stock he’ll go and look for it, if the soda you want from the fountain is out he’ll see if they have more. Luis is always a step ahead in making sure he has a bag ready if your hands are full. I always look forward to when I need to run into the cafe because I know everything I need will be handled efficiently.

Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing people. Chef Mo is so kind and an amazing chef. I have had several items from the menu and none have disappointed. I’ve never had wings so big, they were so juicy and full of flavor. If you don’t get the banana pudding, you are truly missing out.

Okay, I've been trying to visit this place for a while and now that I have a chance to finally make it here I have to give it five star based off of what I ordered. First of all this place reminds me of home or should I say a small restaurant / convenience store from my original birthplace where I was born and raised Chicago Illinois. If you know you know, there are some small restaurants / grocery stores combined that you know when that when go in you're going to get quality fresh cooked fast food and this is it. I also got to talk about the atmosphere It's a big sit down restaurant / grocery store overlooking or looking outside at the pool so I can imagine what it's like in the summertime for this owner to open up a place like this here in Arizona I think they hit the jackpot. I also want to honest with y'all there's not many places here in Arizona that has good fast food combined with the atmosphere at the same time I'm sorry cuz I've been to a lot of them here in Arizona, Phoenix, Glendale, Chandler, Tempe and Suprise Just to leave a few, and I honestly can't say the same about them, well maybe one or two now that I thought about it a little bit more, but that's it.. I've ordered the chicken wings fried, The whiting fish and if you know then you know what I'm talking about. The bean pie from understanding he has peach cobbler and some other pie I forgot but everything's freshly made right the in the spot so if you're from places like the East Coast Midwest even some places down south y'all know what I'm talking about and You got to get to this place trust me I traveled about 12 miles Just so I can come and experience this place. Very Good food that's all I'm going to say for now.
