I had a great experience here thanks to Zoe. She gave really thoughtful recommendations and helped me pick something I ended up loving — you can tell she actually knows the products and cares about customers finding the right fit. There was also a small issue with my order, and she handled it quickly and professionally without making it a big deal. It’s rare to get service that feels both knowledgeable and genuine, and Zoe definitely delivered. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
So glad to have this healthy cafe in San Diego. I’ve gone almost every day since discovering it & everything is such good quality. The lattes have been so consistent in taste which is hard to find elsewhere. My kids love the food well. Win-win
I tried their mint matcha latte and it was honestly disgusting. The drink was very sweet. It tasted like like a mixture of grapes + condensed milk and 0% like mint or matcha. It wasn't sour or acidic or anything, but it was so disgusting I had to water it down to make myself feel better about the $8 I spent on it. This might've been the first matcha drink I had to just throw away. It's a cute store though and the cashiers are friendly.
Parakeet Restaurant has a nice ambiance, but overall the experience was just average. The food was okay—nothing particularly memorable or worth the high prices. For what you pay, you’d expect better quality or more generous portions. The service was fine, not bad but not especially attentive or warm either. One plus is the availability of free parking, which made getting in and out easy. If you’re nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Parakeet Café at One Paseo is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and brunch. The ambiance is cozy and stylish, with its charming wallpaper and inviting vibe. My go-to is the salmon and eggs (I always ask for poached eggs in this dish) —healthy, balanced, and filling. When I was gluten-free, I loved substituting the toast in that dish with a charcoal waffle, which was also pretty good. Their gluten-free, no-refined-sugar cookies are a must-try—you’d never guess they’re sugar-free! While some dishes haven’t stood out as much, the lattes and other drinks are consistently amazing. A perfect spot for a delicious and healthy meal. Also, I’ve often bumped into friends here, making it feel even more special.
