The Coffee Counter
237 Meeting St, Charleston, SC
Crema's Take
“The Coffee Counter is a beautifully designed Charleston spot with serious attention to detail—think natural light, thoughtful seating, and an upstairs area perfect for lingering over work or a date. Their specialty drinks, particularly the chai latte and pistachio latte, showcase real creativity beyond the usual menu, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond with genuine warmth and care. While the pastry selection could use some quality control, the overall vibe and coffee craft make this a standout destination in downtown Charleston.”

Super cute interior and sweet staff! Coffee was delicious :) Only problem I ran into was one of the pre-packaged goods (believe it was a vegan brownie), had gone bad and tasted like mold. It didn’t appear to have an expiration date on it, but tasted rotten. I would say be cautious with packaged goods if it doesn’t have a date, but all the food and beverages made there were awesome! The girl working there helped me get a new item too when I told her 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area or want a cute spot to do some work.
The chai latte was amazing. I love whatever they are doing to create it. The burrito woth sausage was a little basic I would take away the potatoes and some grilled onions and peppers maybe to give it some more flavor. Salsa saved it though.
Super amazing and beautiful woman named Adeliz Delgado saved me from choking while simultaneously taking another customers order and preparing it with grace. She then paid for my hospital bill in full with cash and even served me my favorite latte with a smile while doing so. This woman will be at my wedding and the birth of my first child. Absolutely amazing customer service, accuracy with product, and amazing to watch. She is my inspiration in life and I strive to be as beautiful as she is on the outside and inside. My life will never be the same and I think I’ve been spiritually enlightened by just being within 3 feet of her. #thankgodforadelizadelgato
Isabella made the perfect pistachio latte, that mixed with the perfect vibes of the hotel make this a great go to coffee shop in DT Charleston.
Perfect date spot or place to do homework. The attention to detail in design of the shop is incredible . Very open, allows natural light in, fun seating upstairs. Coffee was great too!
