Amendola Deli-cious

Going to this deli is truly a life changing experience. Before my visit, I was unmotivated, tired, and lazy. After just one sandwich here, my life changed completely. Now, I work out, meal prep, and play my piano daily. The fresh ingredients from Sicily have modified my sympathetic nervous system and unlocked every dopamine receptor possible. In particular, the brilliant 6 ft tall chef who makes the cannolis is an inspiration. He is the role model of the Scranton community and inspires me to be my best version, every single day, even Holidays. I attribute all my success in life to Amendola Deli-cious.

Hands down the best deli in all of Scranton! Entering the deli for the first time I felt like I was being invited to a family get together. There was a warm atmosphere with beautiful music and decor. I ended up ordering just a simple Italian sub and man was I pleased! It was absolutely delicious and I really do think that’s in part because of the organic produce they use and the love they put into their sandwich. The cappuccino I ordered was exquisite and the coffee was rich. They were even able to accommodate to my celiac disease by having a gluten free bread available in the back. Although I was told this was not a consistently available item, it is great to find a place in Scranton that works with my dietary restrictions, even if I have to bring in a loaf every time, that’s how delicious it was! Couldn’t recommend a place more!

Nicest people and amazing food! I had an incredible experience simply picking up sandwiches and soups for take out. The quality was amazing and I'll be sure to check out some of their cannoli and deserts as well next time.

A hidden gem! If you like Italian sandwiches, soups, salads, deserts and coffee, you must give this place a try! It won't disappoint! There is indoor table seating at this cozy cafe. They treat you like family. I had pasta e fagioli soup and an antipasto salad today with a mocha latte. I loved the antipasto so much, I took a quart home! Get there!

This is the first time I have ever eaten here. As they say, first impressions are everything!!! The atmosphere makes you feel like your in Italy. The service is prompt and the servers make you feel like family. The meats and cheeses are fresh. Also, the bread is the best. I had the Italian Wedding Soup and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone!!! I will be back many times.
