Crema's Take

Tucked into Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood, this beloved spot seamlessly weaves together a thoughtfully curated bookstore with an adjoining coffee counter where baristas craft excellent lattes and specialty drinks alongside a surprising selection that includes beer and matcha. The magic happens in the details: staff recommendations are genuine and generous, a cozy ambiance invites you to linger for hours with a book, and the shop's sweet touch of displaying customer reviews on the shelves creates a warm community feel that keeps people coming back. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a slow afternoon, the whole operation radiates the kind of local authenticity and care that makes a place feel like a genuine third space.

Such an awesome book store! It’s well organized, has a great selection of books, and their coffee is so good! I especially loved the customer reviews placed on the bookshelves of books they’ve read! Will def make this a spot every time I’m in town!

Wonderful bookstore in Bloomfield! The staff is so helpful and friendly and offer excellent reading suggestions. Stop by the adjoining cage for a delicious latte or to buy a funny card or beautiful piece of wrapping paper!

This is one of my new favorite bookstores, and I see myself returning often. It’s a small, locally owned, well organized shop with a decent variety of genres. The home and garden section is particularly lovely, and it seemed like they had a good fantasy/YA/children’s selection. In addition to books, they have an assortment of cards, gift wrap, and store-specific merchandise. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and even though they didn’t have the book I was originally looking for, they offered to order it for me and helped me find a nice replacement since I was on the hunt for a last minute gift. I ended up chatting with some regulars and it seems like just a generally lovely place. Also, there is a cafe that serves coffees, teas, and some baked goods, plus a few seating options. I look forward to my next trip.
