Like so dam good. You nod. You pause. You can’t stop taking bites and confirming what a delicious sandwich. It’s the kind of place where you crave and come back. Let me break it down. BREAD: The crust on the outside. It has that crunch factor when you bite and get texture you want from an ideal sandwich without the baguette type of mouth injury (if you know what I mean). Inside: fresh, fluffy, not too much to sell you size and skimp on the real protein. Flavor is on point, not bland, but they got it right. MEAT: The Pastrami: 1/2 pound of high quality pastrami, that falls apart and is juicy. It’s giving MEATS! For me they’re too generous, and I fill up on asking them to go “easy” on pastrami. The best I’ve ever had. None of those ligament pieces that get stuck in between your teeth and chewy. It 100% tender divine high quality protein. The Italian: generous layers and layers. High quality deli meat. Great flavor. Combination of their sauce, vinegar and seasonings with portion of meat, is again one that makes you crave to come back the following week. So filling you can save 1/2 for later. Gelato: No joke. Im serious. Better than what I had in Florence. Like what?! Yea. That part. You have to try it to believe it. Quality is on another level. I mean common- soo good. My favorite spot for sandwiches now. Friendly service. Clean and cute cafe. Highly recommend. I’m a foodie. Trust me.

Hands down they have the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. As well with one of the nicest service I’ve had in years. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Cafe Izzi is a hidden gem that keeps things simple but does them right. The café has a cozy, neighborhood feel, and their sandwiches are made fresh with hand-sliced meats and quality ingredients, which really shows in every bite. Their pastrami sandwich is easily the standout—stacked with tender, flavorful meat, It’s the best in town. This is becoming my new favorite cafe in Atwater.

The sandwiches are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the gelato is top tier too.
