Innovative, fresh, delicious. The owners of Saffron have done it again. Bringing so many worldly flavors to one tiny plate. I was blown away by the decor, but even more so with the quality of service and the food. The menu is very interesting and always changes. While other restaurants are resting on their laurels, Saffron is giving it their whole heart and soul.

We came towards the end of service on Valentines so I suspect that might have affected the quality of the food. First course we had was soup and dumplings. The soup was amazing, loved the chili and lime favors. The dumplings were okay. Second course we had the scallion lamb, they put a good amount to fill you up and it was well seasoned, especially the vegetables, but it was kind of a boring dish. Last course we had the wagyu beef, EXTREMELY chewy, was not worth the wait. By the time desert came, which was a chocolate cake, we each took a bite and were ready to leave. Foodwise the soup was the highlight but the other courses were good or okay which doesn't live up to the expectations I had for a Michelin star restaurant. Its possible their other courses represent their talents/strongsuits better but I dont really want to come back to test that theory out. I wholeheartedly would recommend to take a loved ones to Emerils instead for a better Michelin experience. Service was great from our waiter, I appreciated his attentiveness and he come off very personable. I would also like to thank him for his beer recommendation which helped me get through the night. Did not appreciate a comment from the hostess but I'd chalk it up to a bad joke

We ordered one of everything on the menu and did the wine pairing — and you definitely should too. Every course was beautifully executed, balanced, and memorable. The pairing elevated the experience even more. Kingsway is an outstanding new addition to the New Orleans food scene, and we left genuinely impressed. Zero complaints, only excitement to return.

I wish I could give The Kingsway a 5 star review. There are so many things they got right. With a few tweaks, I think they could be the next best restaurant in New Orleans. The atmosphere top notch! You can tell so much thought went into this renovation. The crab and Brie soup- to die for! I would recommend going just for this, honestly! The service- every staff member we asked questions to had answers from the server to the buss person, which in my opinion, goes a long way. However, the ABC chicken was very dry and underwhelming. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated, but too small for a main course. The key lime pie was one of the best I have had, but there was a large chunk of lime pulp found in my slice. Takeaways: This place is stunning! I would highly recommend trying it out. The flavors and heart and soul of the food is there. Just needs a little fine tuning for the $$$.

Lovely new Asian-inspired restaurant that offers a 4 course tasting menu with several options, to include a vegetarian menu. The robust sauces paired with the well prepared and visually appealing selections were a highlight and treasured discovery as you dug into each course. Service was well-timed, and each dish explained in detail beyond the well-written descriptive menu. Large cocktail with a few mocktails to choose from, along with wine by the glass or bottle, 6 select potted teas, and multiple types of Asian beers from Japan, China, and other countries. Dining room lighting, plating, and linens were on point, along with sound dampening made for easy conversations with friends or an intimate dining experience with your partner. Perfect for a celebration, date night, or just a night you don't feel like cooking and want to turn it up a notch.
