Crema's Take
“This Connecticut Ave gem transforms the humble bagel sandwich into something craveable, with inventive flavor combinations and portions generous enough to satisfy serious appetites. The space itself is a draw—think cascading flowers, thoughtful architecture, and a relaxed soundscape that actually lets you think—making it equally perfect for a quick coffee run or lingering over pastries with friends. Staff like Kiyah and Tim bring genuine warmth to the experience, turning what could be a standard deli run into the kind of place visitors make a pilgrimage to on every DC trip.”

Absolutely delicious food. One of the most creative bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had. The portions are huge and I would absolutely try again.
I'm an out-of-towner who makes sure to eat at a CYM at least once during every trip to Washington, DC. Generally we get take-out. Online ordering is super easy from any platform and the food is reliably ready in 20 minutes. Pretty much everything is on a bagel. Pretty much everything is delicious. The Jetski is worthy of a particular shout out - melty cheese, fresh jalapeños, with corned beef on a tasted bagel. Fabulous. All the sandwiches are large. You may want to split it with someone. Every single time we have "split" we wish we had just bought two of them. Not because we weren't full, but because we want more. See for yourself. Seating inside the CT location isn't great. Simple metal stools, one communal table and a few doubles along the wall. Slender cold drink selections too. Today we got a side of latkes. Not a big fan. Stick to the bagel sandwiches. You can't go wrong.
Kiyah is kind, cool, and extra competant. Thank you, Kiyah. Music is relaxing not a jack hammer. Architecture lifts pierced hearts to heaven. Cascading flowers ohhhhhh. Thanks for reminding me to call my mother. Not sure how much longer she'll be with us here down below. Ave Mama. Time for reconciliation. This is a nice place. Bagel and coffee were tasty.
**Service:** Every Sunday, Call Your Mother sets up a stall at the farmers market in Silver Spring, and while the line is typically long, I decided to give it a try this past Sunday. To my surprise, the line moved much quicker than I expected, which was a pleasant start. The customer service was fantastic—friendly, personable staff who were more than willing to answer questions and offer recommendations. **Taste:** I went with the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, and it was absolutely delicious! It was tough to choose with so many great options, but I wasn’t disappointed. The flavor was spot on, and the bagel had that perfect balance of crunch on the outside and softness on the inside. **Ambiance:** While it's just a stall at the farmers market, the energy is fun and welcoming. Everyone is eager to try the bagels, and the upbeat atmosphere makes the wait enjoyable. Plus, it’s a great addition to the farmers market scene in Silver Spring. **Recommendation:** If you’re in the area on a Sunday and see the Call Your Mother stall, definitely give it a try—even if the line looks long, it moves fast! I also picked up some bagels and cream cheese to go and can’t wait to enjoy them all weekend. It was so good, I had to call my mom to tell her about it!
Tim was very welcoming and helped us get oriented in the new shop! The bagel sandwiches have fun flavor combinations and were really delicious. Such a cute aesthetic inside too. Kind people and delicious food!
