Crema's Take

Daydrift is a charming Costa Mesa newcomer that's made waves with genuinely creative matcha drinks, particularly their viral Banana Pudding Matcha—which regulars insist you shouldn't stir to experience both the banana and matcha layers in perfect harmony. Beyond the Instagram-worthy aesthetics and thoughtful interior design, they're winning people over with quality ingredients, friendly service, and a cozy family-friendly vibe that feels both elevated and refreshingly casual.

Such a cute new spot! If you like banana you need to try the Banana Pudding Matcha. Do not stir this drink! To get both the Matcha flavor and the banana flavor I highly recommend you do not stir this drink. I drank about half of the Matcha drink before stirring because once you stir, the banana takes over everything. It was delicious, but I think my next drink will just be a straight Matcha.

Game changer for coffee shops. Very unique drinks and esthetics are over the top. Quality of matcha is great and flavor is well balanced. Customer service is great as well.

Daydrfit is an incredible spot! It was my first time visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The whole shop is adorable, so clean, and they had a lot of customers which was great. The service was wonderful, and we received our drinks shortly after placing our order. Our matcha’s were amazing, we got the banana pudding matcha & the mugwort matcha and we loved both. The banana pudding was life changing. Some of the best matcha’s i’ve had in OC. Highly recommend!

Cute shop. Think it was Milk & Honey (mid cafe) and they switched up to matcha because thats the trend now. Pretty drinks. Ops need serious retooling. Lack organization. Better off with a self ordering kiosk because the newbie cashier was major struggle bus today. They need new cups, esp the lids. Horrible user exp with drink spillage even with the lid intact. Also I like to sip on my matcha not drink it out of a skinny straw. Matcha is just okay. Prob my least favorite banana matcha version. Matcha tasted off even with the banana cream on top. Really don’t understand the herb on top other than aesthetics. But I think it alters the flavor of the drink and has 0 connection to what the drink is about. Sorry not even close to being a Top 5 matcha spot in OC, but thats just me. It’s just OK.
