Coffee Studio

Crema's Take
“This Boise espresso bar has earned serious credibility with coffee purists who appreciate when a barista can nail the fundamentals—their Americanos are a masterclass in consistency, and regulars keep coming back after years for that reliability. Beyond the technically excellent espresso drinks, they're known for creative signature beverages and a thoughtful slow-service atmosphere where you can actually sit and linger. Fair warning: quality-focused spots sometimes come with uneven service, but when the team is on, you'll find exactly the kind of intentional coffee craftsmanship that makes specialty coffee worth seeking out.”

I was super excited to try this place, I guess my expectations were too high. The barista was kind of rude, and very short with us. We got two hot almond Rocha's and it tasted like she put raspberry syrup in it. I think ill give it another try some other time.. but I wasn't impressed.
Coffee Studio is the only place that actually knows how to make good espresso drinks. My order is always an Americano with nothing in it, which is a test of a barista’s skills. My coffee is consistently robust as an Americano should be. And it comes with the best service!
I really appreciate both the service and the coffee at Coffee Studio. I’ve been coming here regularly for the past three years since moving to Idaho, and they’re consistently excellent. Today, I had a rare one-off with my Breve. It came out sour and a bit burnt. After a few sips, I decided to ask for a remake, making sure to keep my request kind and low-key. The staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating, even offering to make another if needed. The barista who remade my drink has prepared many of my coffees in the past, and as always, it turned out great. Kudos to the team here for their consistency, integrity, and respect in the way they handle customers. It’s the kind of service that keeps me coming back.
Coffee Studio has been around for a while but with Dutch Bros front and center off Milwaukee, I'm sure people go to Dutch first for it's convenience and it's popularity. I'm guilty of that but today I decided to drive the extra 100 yards and hit up Coffee Studio instead. My goal lately is to support more local businesses in our area. It was late afternoon when I stopped in and it was busy! There was only one barista working and she was hustling! There were two cars in the drive thru. 2 gals a head of me and and another guest waiting for his beverage. She was killing it! Quite impressive how she handled all the pressure of customers waiting for their drinks. She got everyone smashed out and asked what I would like to drink. I gave her my usual order, a small iced americano with sugar free white chocolate with room for cream. She was still finishing an order from the drive thru but I told her to take her time. I wasn't in a rush. I hung out and looked at all the merch and goodies while my drink was being made. The shop is small and cute. There's big windows which give the small space so much pretty lighting. Love the fresh plants and the simple decor here. I adore that they reuse the syrup bottles as vases for plants, it adds a fun touch to the space. The shop is very welcoming. I also appreciate the outdoor seating. There are strung up lights outside which would be pretty at night. They close at 4 so enjoying the lights would be hard. But I can imagine a brisk fall day, late afternoon when it gets dark early chillin outside with a big mug in hand. Talk about a great setting. I didn't grab the sweet barista's name. She asked me if I wanted to add my own cream or if she can do it for me. I told her to go for it. I should have done it myself cause I could have used a hair more cream. It was on the bitter side but I added a little more half and half when I got home and it was perfect! You can really taste the espresso, it wasn't watered down which was nice! All balanced in espresso, cream and sweetness. This little joint pushes out some bold drinks. And it was nice to see how many people were at this place the same time I was. The barista killed it and made me a great drink. It was great stopping in for my afternoon caffeinated beverage. I look forward to coming back. Especially in the fall when I can sit outside under the lights sipping on my hot coffee.
My favorite local coffee shop! The variety of coffee options is outstanding, with something to suit every taste. From rich, bold espresso to unique flavored lattes, each cup is crafted to perfection. The food is equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast or a light snack, the menu has plenty of delicious options as for the coffee shop. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Highly recommended!
