Deeper Roots Coffee

Visited a couple weeks ago during Valentine’s Day weekend. The coffee was so reasonably priced and so so good. ( this is coming from a huge coffee critic. Ha) Staff was amazing and the shop had lots of seating

I really wanted to love this place, and I hope they continue improving because it has so much potential. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I ordered the iced matcha latte with oat milk. Unfortunately, it tasted very watered down and didn’t have enough matcha flavor. It honestly felt like I was drinking lightly tinted oat milk instead of a true matcha latte. I was hoping for a stronger, richer matcha taste. That said, the service was great. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere felt cozy and comfortable, and I appreciate that they offer WiFi. Parking was also very convenient since they have their own lot right next to the shop, which makes visiting easy. I would definitely give them another try if they adjust their matcha latte recipe and make the flavor more robust.

Their shots of espresso are some of the best in the city. The service is always great and friendly. Their pastries are very tasty.

Got a honey bear latte and added maple because that's what the guy recommended when I said I liked sweet stuff and didn't want to taste coffee..... Yikes. It was no where near sweet enough and the coffee was so overpowering. Then got a nitro cold brew with macadamia milk and vanilla because it was recommended to me by someone. That was absolutely terrible, one of the worse things I've ever tried in my life.

What a great cafe! Had a very good cortado. The milk was steamed right with nice texture and flavor, and it complimented the nicely pulled espresso. They’re doing a splendid job here, with friendly service. Something went wrong with the register, and there was a line of customers almost out the door, and nobody lost their cool. In fact the customers and staff all took it in stride. I think everyone in the room was just there for the great coffee. My kind of people :)
